Kennesha Bell, a 40-year-old alopecia patient is raising awareness with those who are alopecia fighters in Qatar. “There is a lot of emphasis on beauty in Qatar. You would be nervous to be different to not have hair and walk around,” she said. It is has an effect of hair loss due to the immune system attacking the hair follicles. This is what the body believed to cause the areata.“In America I wear my bald head. I wore my head out here twice, and it was just staring. I think people have misconceptions,” said Bell. Honestly I felt like a celebrity,” said Bell of her feelings after the first time having her skull painted in henna by Nazma Mazhar. Mazhar, a 23-year-old henna artist, who has her own home based henna business, Qatari Henna Studio, aims to donate her time painting a beautiful henna crown to those who want it.Henna is popular around the world which is a plant made from the mignonette tree. This is what inspired her to start this campaign. She is now a huge part of an “emotion charity” rather than a charity that involves money and donations of objects that could have a short term happiness to the people in need. “I used to see my parents are giving to the people, so that's why I got that.
