It takes place once every year, at the Arthur Ashe stadium. The organization gave their fan one day in the two weeks competition to experience the game, known as fan experience day. Being a tennis, we took the offer to enjoy the competition. So we took the train from Brooklyn to Queens dressed up in our best attire. When we got there were lots of activities going on. First of all, we practiced kicking the ball in the air while the camera captured it. We got a 30minutes chance to play inside the tennis court. After that, we visited other booths. At the next booth, we competed for a gold wrist watch, at another booth, we won a hat 2 pairs of socks, and a bag. At another booth, we took souvenir pictures with our favorite tennis super star in the background. Each booth has different offers for their ardent fans. We also enrolled in a one year membership with the tennis organization, at one of the booths. We went to watch the quarterfinals going on, at some of the tennis courts. At one in particular, the guy won to fan cheers. We were sitting at the front row, and one man asked us to take picture of him and the winner. Other fans asked the winner to sign his autograph on their tennis balls.Overall, we had a beautiful experience at the US open, and finally we went home. We took train from Queens to Brooklyn. That is the end of our fan experience day at the US open. This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SAThis Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SADescriptive EssaySummer Saturdays in Brooklyn Waking up in the morning in a typical summer Saturday is this beautiful delicious feeling of some happy expectation. Block party!!! There is always a block party going on every Saturday. The first indication is road blocks. Followed by music and BBQ smoke in the air. Then comes the presence of a giant float in the middle of the street. People start setting tables at their doorsteps, the BBQs and cooking, underway. With people milling around, and children jumping the rides its time to go and see.We leave in the usual manner of going to the pool, as we swim everyday. On our way, we take in the beautiful sight in front of us and take part in some of the activity. We jump the ride, dance to music, collect some gift items and some times get few bites of the barbecue hamburger.By the end of the day, we feel that we have had a beautiful block party. That is the aura in the air on a typical summer Saturday in Brooklyn. Descriptive EssayIndependence day at Coney IslandIndependence Day is always a festive holiday for us. We usually celebrate it at Coney Island. First of all, we take train to Coney Island. When we get there, it’s a whirlwind of oohs eehs, aahhs, and we can’t wait to get started and throw in our own oohs aahs in the air. First thing we do, we buy the tickets, and wait on line for our turn. The next thing, scarrrrred!!! Am I going to fall offff???? Up and down, left and right and finally, it’s over and we go for another adventure. When all rides are done, we go to the beach. Every inch of the beach is occupied by some families enjoying the sun some are eating, some are building castles, others are playing volleyball, while a lot are inside the water swimming in the ocean. Then fireworks popping out all over the place at exactly 9 pm. By the end of the day, we’ve had enough good time, and we are ready to go home. That was such a good experience. This is the end of our Independence day at Coney I. My family decided we need a change. We chose to move to Philadelphia. But first, we have to go there and see how it feels to live there. We spent some few days there comparing Philadelphia to New York. During that time period, we lived our life. Without NYC at the corner, life in PHA looked completely different. Its like a whole new world, a whole new atmosphere, with different lifestyle. Nothing in common to relate to. It was an eye opener for us. It’s like nothing for us to do over there. It made us to begin to appreciate what we have in New York. First of all, the houses are like snake bed. We can almost vision a snake hiding under your bed and their basements look like cave. Too scary to go into. Secondly, there stores are far away from home, and their transportation is very expensive. There is not a lot of fun going on just staying home. It’s quite the opposite of what we had in New York. Overall, we had to decide that we can’t throw away the life we currently have that is quite predictable and satisfactory for a brand new experience we can’t tell how it’s going to be. We decided to remain at New York and stop the move to Philadelphia.
