Sony Corporation of Hong Kong Limited today introduced the new 3D capable Full HD TV BRAVIA EX720 series. Combining Sonys newly developed X-RealityTM Engine digital video processor, Full HD Frame Sequential Method and Sonys MotionFlowTM XR 200 technology, the BRAVIA EX720 series brings unprecedented picture quality and a stunning Full HD 3D viewing experience to customers at the comfort of home. In addition to the markets first 32" model, the new series offers screen sizes ranging 40" to 55" for enjoying an immersive 3D entertainment experience in the living room or the bedroom. The BRAVIA EX720 series is equipped with Sonys Edge LED Backlight which is designed to deliver bestin-class quality picture. The series is also ready for SkypeTM and Internet connection via BRAVIA Internet Video and BRAVIA Internet Widgets1 for unsurpassed access to online video content. Immersive Full HD 3D experience The BRAVIA EX720 series adopts a Full HD Frame Sequential Method that displays Full HD frames alternately at a very high speed for both the left and right eye, effectively retaining its full resolution and image quality. With the newly designed 3D glasses (sold separately) which are lighter and can be recharged easily via a supplied USB cable, users can enjoy 3D movies with minimal flicker and even for long hours

Building on previous versions of Sonys motion compensation technology, Sonys MotionFlowTM XR technology reduces blur caused by quick camera movements, enhancing sharpness and creating a clearer picture.

Remarkably life-like picture quality Sony has upgraded the BRAVIA processing power with new X-RealityTM Engine digital video processor which utilizes Sonys Intelligent Image Enhancer technology to deliver outstanding picture quality. Incoming video is separated into constituent parts (outline, texture, and color/contrast), and the appropriate image enhancement is added to each part. The engine also uses Intelligent MPEG Noise Reduction to automatically detect the incoming sources and noise level to apply the appropriate amount of noise reduction for each scene. With this, users can enjoy higher picture quality with sharper edges, and more optimal colour and contrast.

High contrast makes the image punchy and vibrant. The BRAVIA EX720 series achieves infinite contrast ratio with Sonys Edge LED backlighting which adjusts backlight brightness according to the picture content. It shines brightly when the picture is bright, and can turn completely off when the picture is black. In addition, high-performance light guides maintain uniform brightness across the face of the screen.

Instant access to online entertainment from the comfort of the living room The new BRAVIA EX720 series delivers instant access to online entertainment. Whether connecting to a home broadband network via Wi-Fi2 (802.11n) or Ethernet connection, this series offers access to Internet content via the BRAVIA Internet Video and BRAVIA Internet Widget platform. With just one click, users can connect the TV directly to the Internet without the need for computer. They can also access a world of information such as news and weather via customizable widgets.

Capable of supporting SkypeTM the BRAVIA EX720 allows users to enjoy free widescreen Skype-to-Skype video calls3 with friends and family with the Sony camera and microphone (CMU-BR100, sold separately) while simultaneously watching TV.
