Your class will needs to have a:A clear introduction, briefing and warm-up - 5-10 minutesBody/exercise phase to the session- 10- 15 minutesCool down/stretching - 5- 10 minutesEach individual will be required to perform and instruct a section of your planned class to music. – 1-2 songs only.Be creative when selecting your target group of participants. Consider the wide range of client groups you could be presented with, for example, a group of fit and young netball players, a rugby team, women who have recently given birth, the over 65s, or a class that needs to accommodate a wide range of fitness levels in the one group. Some groups may be interested in overall fitness: cardio, strength, endurance and flexibility. Others might prefer to target strength and endurance as in class using weights and resistance bands; or cardio as in a class using high intensity aerobic choreography. Another group maybe want to focus on balance, core strength and flexibility as in classes using choreographed yoga, Pilates and tai chi.Select music suitable for the group to motivate, move and inspire. Select appropriate exercises to meet the needs of your participants. Use a varied routine. Remember most people want to have fun while they are exercising!Supply a written plan of your group exercise session, including music selection.In your assignment:Describe the group of people and their exercise needs and goals. Also any social or cultural factors that need to be taken into consideration.Describe what leadership style you would use with this particular group.Outline your session plan for the 30 minutes with details of music selection and why you have chosen it.Include detailed and standard choreographic notation for one track that you will perform (Please see attached template, you will be given examples and instruction!)Deliver a group exercise class to music using choreographyYou will deliver 1 or 2 tracks from your class to a group of participants, depending on the requirements of your teacher.Performance evaluation (written)Provide a reflection on your performance.
