| | |The Patient Registration/Support Staff functions as a member of an administrative or treatment team to assure prompt, |

| | |Correctly identify method of payment reimbursable to SBHI. Verify client insurance as well as portion client is responsible |

| | |Assure that HIPAA confidentiality regulations are followed. Ensure that client rights are delivered to clients. |
| | |Schedule patients in an accurate manner per program procedures. |
| | |Ensure scanning of patient documents into the EMR in a timely manner. |
| | |Process monthly verification of patient Medicaid via MITS in conjunction with front desk staff (back-up only as needed). |

| | |Evaluate detoxification needs of alcohol/drug patients using the CIWA (Clinical Indicators Withdrawal from Alcohol) and COW |
| | |(Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) evaluation tools and provide appropriate interventions based on the results |
| | |Provide and document patient/family education regarding diagnosis, medication and/or medical treatment as indicated. |
| | |Complete comprehensive initial nurse assessment for MAT program participants and provide on-going nursing |
| | |Patient assessments for adverse reaction to medication. |
| | |Administer prescribed oral and injectable medications as defined by departmental policies and procedures and follow up with |
| | |the patient per program policies and procedures to determine client response to medication and enhance medication |
| | |compliance. |
| | |Maintain correctly stocked medication inventory, ensure safety of medications/supplies, keep an accurate log of reports of |
| | |medications, and communicate with pharmacy representatives as needed. |
| | |Seek consultation from medical records coordinator or other members of the management team for direction when not clear |
| | |about documentation procedures. |
| | |The Utilization Management RN* is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant |

| | |The RN is responsible for: |
| | |Concurrent and retrospective reviews of patients admitted to the behavioral health inpatient units |
| | |Completes pre-certification and re-certification of patient’s insurance authorization according to the company requirements.|
| | |The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory |
| | |standards. |
| | |Job Duties Include: |
| | |Adhere to SBHI clinical records standards. Seek consultation from medical records coordinator or other members of the |
| | |management team for direction when not clear about documentation procedures. |
| | |Communicate concise and appropriate information throughout assigned shift with supervisors, managers and other team members.|
| | |Record data for nursing and MAT statistical and tracking reports accurately and completely; assist with the collection of |
| | |nursing QA data. |
| | |Assure that medication order forms and medication administration forms are properly completed according to clinical record |
| | |standards. |
| | |Assess health status for the purpose of providing nursing care. |
| | |Identifying patterns of human responses to actual or potential health problems amenable to a nursing regimen. |
| | |Plan, implement and document nursing interventions based on clinical assessment and best practice in a timely manner. |
| | |Administers medications, treatments, and regimens within scope of practice that is prescribed by appropriately authorized |
