Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) is a nationally recognized multiethnic nonprofit organization that provides award-winning services to refugee and immigrant women and their families in King and Snohomish Counties.Job Description POSITION TITLE: Behavioral Health Manager/DirectorDEPARTMENT: Behavioral Health REPORTS TO: Executive DirectorFLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Regular Full-Time (37.5 Hrs./Week)SUMMARY:Under the supervision and in consultation with the Executive Director, this position is responsible for providing supervision and management for ReWA’s Behavioral Health Program Staff. To assure counseling services to refugee and immigrant clients are culturally appropriate. This position will perform administrative duties in a timely manner with close attention to detail. In addition, they are expected to provide cross-cultural consultation and community outreach to the community and provide training and education on the provision of behavioral health to refugees and immigrants. RESPONSIBILITIES: Client Services:Review diagnostic justifications and intake assessments as needed to meet agency timelines. Assist non-MHP staff with writing Diagnostic justifications as needed.Maintains an in-depth knowledge of client centered, evidence based, strengths-orientated behavioral health principals, practices, standards and techniques and applies this knowledge in accordance with ReWA’s Behavioral health policies and procedures and in compliance with state of Washington and federal laws/regulations. Ensures that all of ReWA’s Behavioral Health Staff maintain the highest level of confidentiality in accordance with ReWA’s policies, Washington State law and HIPPA privacy standards. Support and facilitate appropriate processes of assessment, diagnosis, planning, and interventions to meet the client and family’s needs. Provide on-going supervision to ensure treatment is clinically appropriate, effective and meets professional and ethical standards. Signs off on clinical documentation. Supervise and provide consultation to staff that assures quality individual, family counseling, and crisis intervention.Advocate for clients in accessing needed resources and support services.Lead case consultation and staff meetings. Regularly provide clinical training to clinical staff and interns.Knowledge and adherence to all HIPAA requirements.Integrate ReWA’s mission, vision, and values in the work provided to munity Services and Contacts:Conduct outreach to the community and provide consultation and education on provision of behavioral health to refugees and immigrants.Build strong partnerships with community organizations, service providers, and other entities to work collaboratively in support of Program activities.Integrate ReWA’s mission, vision, and values in the work provided to the community.Administrative:Oversee clients’ file reviews (client paperwork, including intakes, progress reports, and treatment plans are up to date) and file audits to ensure quality client care are in compliance with regulatory standards, WACs and contracts’ compliance. Conduct assessment of the effectiveness of the Behavioral Health Program, identify and address strengths and weaknesses.Responsible for reviewing and updating ReWA’s Behavioral Health policies, manual, and procedures per State and WACs requirements; submit annual licensing application.Responsible for hiring, training, performance evaluation and guiding the professional development of staff. Meet with the Executive Director on a weekly basis.Attend management, staff meetings and agency’s trainings.Integrate ReWA’s mission, vision, and values in the administrative work for the Agency.Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in counseling, psychology, social work or closely related field with 5 years post masters clinical experience with at least three years clinical supervisory experience.Licensed Mental Health Professional LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, or licensed Psychologist. Must be a Mental Health Professional (MHP) in State of Washington. Demonstrated experience in individual, family and group counseling as well as case management and community support services. Knowledge and experience in using the DSM V/ICD-10At least two years implementing policies and procedures and other requirements of state public mental health system and regional support network required. Knowledge of community resources and ability to provide appropriate referralsExcellent leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines/reporting requirements.Demonstrated organizational skillsProven ability to work in a multiethnic environment; sensitivity to and respect for diverse culturesExcellent written and oral communication skillsWorking knowledge of computers and MS Word , ExcelCommitment to teamwork and collaborationWA state driver’s license and vehicle insuranceFlexibility of schedule is required, including some evening and weekend hours.The successful candidate will also have the following skills:?Interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation skills. ?Contract and fiscal management experience.?Knowledge of Medicaid contracts and billing procedures. ?Knowledge of King County Community Mental Health.?Good public speaking and negotiating skills. Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops. ?Ability to evaluate the progress of therapeutic programs and to make individual modifications. ?PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Status as a Washington State Approved SupervisorStatus as a Child Mental Health Specialist, Geriatric Mental Health SpecialistExperience working with immigrant and refugee populationsFluency in a another language ................
