Job DescriptionJob title: Employment Coach Responsible to: Business Manager Job PurposeThe Employment Coach?is an essential part in our drive to support our?customers who have recently become unemployed?during?the?COVID-19 pandemic.?The Employment Coach will build and maintain effective rapport to support customers to find sustainable employment?through remote digital platforms and elements of?face to face?support.???This objective of this programme is to provide immediate and?fast paced?support to promptly identify?the type of assistance required to enable our?customers?to?re-join?the labour market in a role aligned to their?transferable skill set and previous experience.???The?Employment coach will be adept at working in a fast paced, evolving and targeted environment, working effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders to coordinate the support?required.?They will use their exceptional planning and organisational skills to ensure that all customers?are given?appropriate assistance in building activity levels to enhance opportunities to?employment.?Duties and ResponsibilitiesBuilding?effective and positive relationships with?customers, working collaboratively with them to identify the support required to enable them to quickly re-join the labour market?Providing a?predominately?remote and digital support service, effectively utilising platforms such as video conferencing, to?recommend appropriate job search activities and community?and industry?networking opportunities??Identifying?areas for continuous improvement by being innovative, creative and flexible.Ensuring that?customers?have an up to date?and professional?CV and, supporting statements and?covering letter, tailored?appropriately?for each application?Providing job search support, guiding?customers?to register on appropriate jobs boards and ensuring their digital profiles are up to date and visible to employers?Providing industry specific?specialism, based on relevant sector experience, for example retail / manufacturing / contact centre?Working?in partnership with our internal ?National Careers Service team?and relevant external employment support services to immediately identify appropriate job opportunities??Provide additional support required to help out customers overcome potential barriers preventing the immediate return to work?Supporting customers in preparing for job interviews, conducting mock interviews and assessment activity?To conduct a diagnostics assessment with all referred clients to assess job readiness and the appropriate level of support required on the customer journey throughout time on program?To ensure clients have access to workshop / module options based on individual diagnostics and tailored support (inc.?health, mental health, transferable skills, job searching, cv writing, interview skills)?To work with pace and urgency – planning and forecasting ahead and discussing next steps on a monthly basis??To maintain quality client records on the database so that they outline the customer’s journey on the programme.?Ensuring?that all required entry to the?database is accurate and compliant and documentation relating to the customer is completed and maintained in an accurate, compliant and timely manner?Company PolicyPromote and uphold equal opportunities policy and procedures, actively promoting equality and seeking to challenge and overcome disadvantage and mit to and demonstrate behaviours based on Futures’ Values.Develop and maintain own professional knowledge, skills and experience, including formal training, CPD, networking with fellow professionals and self-reflection in order to improve practice.Ensure a personal commitment to Customer Care and the Futures’ reputation for ply with safeguarding requirements in accordance with legislation and policy.Ensure the exchange of relevant information between partners takes place, ensuring the customer/client has given consent and that data protection requirements are complied with.Undertake any necessary administrative/ICT duties in line with role.Take reasonable care for the Health & Safety of him/herself and of other persons who may be affected by his/her activities and, when appropriate, safeguard the Health & Safety of all persons under his/her control and guidance in accordance with the provisions of Health & Safety Legislation.Undertake any other duties, which may reasonably be regarded as within the scope and responsibilities/grade of the post as defined, subject to the proviso that normally any changes of a permanent nature shall be incorporated into the job description in specific terms.
