NOTIONS NEEDED: (not included in kit) #12 Valdani Perle cotton in the following colors: O548, 893, O575, O775, P12 and #8 - O154, P12 and O775 Lite Steam-a-Seam 2? fusible web #22 & #24 Chenille needle

DIRECTIONS: Trace appliqu? shapes onto fusible web. Cut out just outside of drawn lines. Cut out shapes as a group to save time and fusible web. Iron fusible shapes to correct wools. Cut out on drawn lines. Place a 3/4" x 12" piece of fusible on stem wool. Cut out 2 - 3/16" stems using your rotary cutter an ruler. Using a light box, layout the stems and the other wool shapes onto the 10" x 10" background fabric. Iron, using lots of steam and tiny little presses, always keeping the iron moving. Blanket stitch around appliqu?s using #12 perle cottons. See shapes for thread colors. Cross stitch stems in #12-893. With a Frixion marking pen, draw in lines for berry stems. Draw line for Fly stitched pine needles. Trace "Believe" and stitch, using a chain-stitch with #12-O548. Berry stems are stitched with #8-P12, Berries are stitched with #8-O775. Pine needles are stitched with #12-O548. Poinsettia centers are stitched using #8-O154 using French or Colonial knots. Stem-stitch veins in the holly leaves using #12-893. When stitching is complete, place right side down on a towel and steam. Trim block to 91/2"x 91/2".
