AB6 Hydraulic Down Acting

To Program a Job

1) Push “Job” key

2) Push job number you want (1 thru 150)

3) Push “Enter” key

4) Ram Dim light comes on. Push the (-) key. (this is for bending your part by an angle.)

This must be done or it will not work !!!

5) Push “Enter” key

6) Enter material thickness (you should check with calipers)

7) Push “Enter” key

8) Enter punch radius

9) Push “Enter” key

10) Enter the die opening

11) Push “Enter” key

12) Bend light is flashing

Push “Enter” key

13) Enter dimension

Push “Enter” key

14) Enter bend allowance if any

Push “Enter” key

15) Enter ret time if any

Push “Enter” key

16) Enter ret dim if any

Push “Enter” key

17) Enter angle (all angles are inside)

Push “Enter” key

18) Angle adjust (you won’t know till you bend a part)

Push “Enter” key

19) Enter ram speed (when you want the ram to slow down before the punch touches your material)

Push “Enter” key

20) Ram height (how far you want the ram to go up after you bend your part)

Push “Enter” key

21) New bend light is flashing (if you want another bend, then push the new bend key, and repeat

Steps 13 thru 21. If not go on to step 22)

22) Push “Bend” key

23) Push the number 1

24) Push “Enter” key

25) Push “Run” key

26) Die opening light is flashing, make sure it is correct.

Push “Enter” key

27) Die top light should be flashing. If ram is already calibrated push “Run” (if not calibrated go

To hydraulic ram calibration sheet page 3, follow steps 1 thru 19)

To go from one job to another without calibrating the ram (you have no tool change)

1) Push “Job” key

2) Enter job number, push “Enter” key

3) Push “Run” key

4) Die opening light is flashing, push “Enter” key

5) Die top is flashing, push “Run” key

Hydraulic Down Acting Calibration

1) Make sure that the top stop, bottom stop, and speed change switches are moved out of the way.

If this not done the Hurco may not work properly.

2) Make sure ram on light is on and the material you are using is programmed in the job.

3) Push “Fuct” key

4) Push 704

5) Push “Enter” key

6) Push “Enter” key

7) Push “Job” key

8) Enter job number you want

Push “Enter” key

9) Push “Run” key

10) Both lights for die top and die bottom should be flashing, move ram to top of stroke

11) Push “Enter” key

12) Die opening light starts flashing, put in correct die opening, push “Enter” key

13) Die top light should be flashing, move ram down and pinch material between punch and die.

14) Push “Enter” key

15) Move ram up enough to get the material out

16) Die bottom light is flashing, move ram down till punch seats in the bottom of the die.

17) Push “Enter” key

18) Die top and die bottom lights are flashing, move ram to the top of the stroke.

19) Push “Enter” key

Job should be up on display and ready to run

When you do not want to use the ram control on the Hurco

1) Push “Fuct” key- 704- push “Enter” key

2) Push “Ram On” key, so red light goes out

Retract- to turn on Delete a job

1) Push “Fuct” key 1) Push “Job” key

2) Push 707 2) Enter job number

3) Push “Enter” key 3) Push “Delete” key

4) Enter one of the amounts, 5-10-15

5) Push “Enter Adv” key

Master Save Die Safety (defaults to 1 inch)

1) Push “Fuct” key 1) Push “Fuct” key

2) Enter 703 2) Enter 720

3) Push “Enter” key 3) Push “Enter “key

4) Enter die safety value

5) Push “Enter” key

Angle Adjust

1) Push “Angle Adjust” key

2) Push “Next” key till the bend number you want is displayed

3) Enter corrections (this will not work like a calculator. You have to do the math

In your head

(-) makes the ram go deeper

(+) Makes the ram not go as deep

4) Make corrections on all bends that you want by pushing pushing the “Next” key

(be sure you are on the bend you want to start with when you are done)

5) Push “Run” key

6) Die opening light is flashing, push “Enter” key

7) Die top light is flashing, push “Run” key

Bend Allowance

(To fix your bend if your part is too long or short)

1) Push “Bend Allowance” key

2) Push “Next” key till the bend you want is on the display

3) This will work like a calculator

Push the (-) key then the amount you want to make your part shorter

Push the (+) key then the amount you want to make your part longer

4) Push “Run” key

5) Die opening light is flashing

Push “Enter” key

6) Die top light is flashing

Push “Run” key
