We are pleased to announce that effective September 1, 2017 Group Health Centre will be making a change in our benefits carrier.

Our new employee benefits carrier will be Industrial Alliance. Industrial Alliance replaces our current benefits carrier, Manulife Financial.

While our carrier is changing, it is important to note: your benefits will remain the same.

All items previously covered by Manulife, including Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Extended Health, Dental and Long Term Disability will now be covered through Industrial Alliance.

Group Health Centre will continue to cover the cost of eye exams (every 2 years) and Physiotherapy services.

Who is Industrial Alliance?

Industrial Alliance is an insurance and financial services company founded in 1892, and is among the largest and most prominent insurance companies in Canada.

Why are we changing our benefits carrier? Industrial Alliance provides the following benefits:

? Detailed online portal ? Fast and easy submission of online claims

No more paper submission of claims ? Easy to use ? Email notifications of claims paid ? Access 24/7 ? WebRx tool

 Provides information regarding your drug coverage, locates pharmacies near you that sell the drug you are searching for and helps you reduce your drug costs by offering purchasing tips and less expensive alternatives.

? Mobile App Access your benefits information from the convenience of your mobile device.

When will this change be effective? We will be moving to Industrial Alliance effective September 1, 2017.

Process We will be holding a series of information sessions for staff. At your session, you will receive an online demo.

Representatives from Industrial Alliance will be onsite to answer any questions you may have.

PLEASE NOTE: ? On August 15th ? Preprinted Enrolment forms will be available for pick up and review in the staff lounge from 9- 4:30 pm. For the off- site locations these forms will be sent interoffice to your location. Once you have reviewed the forms and updated any changes please sign and return to Cecilia Zagordo in Payroll & Benefits by Monday August 21st ? Benefit Cards and activation codes will be provided to staff the week of August 28th
