Before your register:

Prior to registration, please visit our web page with answers to frequently asked questions at liberty.edu/casas (Click on Resident Students/DLP). If you still have questions, you may email your Professional Advisor or visit DH 2016 to learn more about how these courses work and the policies associated with them. You’ve probably heard different opinions about DLP but your Advisor can offer the information you need.

Benefits of DLP:

DLP is a great way to take additional classes to fit your schedule or to get ahead on your degree. Classes are offered in the Fall, Spring & Summer (Summer classes are offered at a reduced cost).

Use Caution:

Some students may have told you that DLP classes are easier that resident classes. This is not the case.

DLP classes do not have the benefit of the “in-class” setting where you can ask questions and interact with students during class. However, your professor is available for course related questions via email and you can interact with fellow students via the discussion boards. Be sure to make the most of these tools.

Work with a friend:

If you can, take a class together with a friend so you can help each other study and grasp course information. A friend can also help to keep you accountable to manage your time. DLP classes come with course charts that outline a schedule for coursework. Be sure to view the course chart and plan your time accordingly.

Where to get books:

You will buy books and materials from MBS Direct (800-325-3252) or liberty. You can buy books from other sources but you must be sure that you are buying the exact materials that MBS has listed. (Some textbooks come with CD ROMs, etc.) There are no book vouchers available for DLP classes and they are not included in your tuition.

Remember:

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are familiar with all aspects of taking a DLP class. DLP is a great way to take needed classes and we hope that it is a positive experience for you!
