General Summary of Function/Purpose of PositionThis position serves as an administrator with the responsibility of managing all activities of the Unemployment Benefits Division. This is an operational division that includes three Remote Initial Claim (RICC) centers (Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Saginaw) and all Problem Resolution Offices (PROs) that are located across the state.? It also includes special programs located in Detroit, including but not limited to Employer Filed Claims, Combined Wage Claims, Federal Desk, and Trade Adjustment. This position leads the management team in providing exceptional customer service to individuals filing for unemployment benefits, facilitating a culture of continuous improvement, effectively coordinating with other operational and supportive divisions internal and external to the agency, and ensuring conformance with state and federal laws, policies, and procedures.? The individual in this position is expected to model integrity at all times and ensure that the vision, mission, and values of the agency are incorporated in all aspects of operations. This position is a member of the Bureau’s leadership team. 15. Establish program objectives, goals, and priorities, as well as putting in place best practices and implementation methods for creating and carrying out these practices within the context of agency and USDOL requirements.?
