• Welcome

• Review of meeting minutes – No changes
• Treasurer’s Report - Website renewal invoice was being sent to former person. Stefani Stuckey will update so Gretchen is primary contact.
• Captains’ Comments – Excited for 2017!
• Coaches’ Comments
o Scheduled a Parent meeting Monday May 8 at 7:00 pm room 228. Need postcards of activities for the meeting. Gretchen will contact Stacey.
o Summer schedule is online.
o Not anticipating a new stadium/turf at this point, but no news.
o Coaches are all returning.
• Committee Reports
***Would like to have an underclassman parent pair up with chair of each committee to learn position this season and take over next season-especially committees with senior parents as chair***

o Clothing - Captains & Coaches – Coach to work with Captains soon.

o Listserv-Coach Stramel
• If you haven’t had a chance---go to the RHS website and add yourself to the Girls Soccer Listserv!
• 206 recipients of Listserv messages. All names were transferred over from prior system.
o Weekly “Newsletter” –Coach Stramel. Coach will recap pre-season activities as a Spring Newsletter, including asking for volunteers for the open positions.
o Social Media
• Team Twitter: Captains. Captains to start a new year & rename it. Keep the followers.
• Facebook: Ed Sieve. Ed will continue to update.
• Game Twitter: Paul Berman (master tweeter)/any parents interested in tweeting during games at any level. Paul does an excellent job – planning on him continuing.
o Events
o Leprechaun Days Parade 7/29. Girls & boys to march together.
• Coaches will organize
o Alumni Game 7/29. Alumni game the same day as parade. Coach Tompkins will coach (Gretchen gone).
• Coach Stramel
o Pre-Season Picnic (Players only) 8/30 Schwartz Pond Park
• Chair: Jenny Newton
o Community Night/Homecoming –either 9/7 (7pm game) or 9/26 (5pm game)—will check with boys team to see if they have preference. Coach awaiting word from RHS.
• Chair: NEED CHAIR (work with boys team liaison to coordinate activities—traditionally we provide hamburgers and grill them so need to coordinate that part of the event)
o Centennial Celebration: 9/23-Varsity game at 11am
o Teacher Appreciation Night date TBD. Actual date based on what happens with Community/Homecoming night.

o Fundraising
o Car Wash 8/12 – has been booked with Rosemount Goodyear. No rain date.
• Chair: The Sieves
o Cub Grocery Bagging tentative date 8/20. Confirmed, set up.
• Chair: Rachel Stucke
o Game Concessions; Chair: NEED CHAIR (get/organize volunteers and help with open/close depending on which shift we are covering; preferably NOT a JV parent as JV games often occur during the time we are covering concessions). After some checking we must do it unless we approach the boys & they agree to take over. Need to assign shifts (by team) and focus on an opener/closer. Girls open when boys are first and close when boys are last. Brent to check with Boys.
o Program Sponsors; Chair: Lori Maidment-Bigalke will lead (Thanks,Lori! ). Contacting sponsors should start May/June. Complete by July. Need to get documents from Kim Lawler.
o Wreath Sales; Chair: Jane Tevrucht/Monica Eichten.
o Buffalo Wild Wings. Decided to not do this year. Made less than $50 last year.
o Lori M-B contacted Rudy’s Redeye, who does Monday night benefits. 10% of all profits (food & alcohol). One team can be there on a Monday night. Rudy’s will do some (minimal) publicity, so it’s up to us to get word out. Range of proceeds: $200-600. Try May 15 or 22 (one night) and September 11. Lori to schedule with Rudy’s & let Brent know.
o Game Support
o Banners for Varsity Games – Captains & Captains Parents
o Ball Girls – Chair: Gregg Sirek
o Photographers—various parents (ideally at least one from each team)
o Videotaping- Team Managers

o Team Parent Coordinator- NEED CHAIR (communicate with each team’s “team parent” important information throughout the season). Preferably the Chair would be someone that’s been a Team Parent. Gretchen to contact Karen Dwyer to gauge interest.
o Travel
o Camp St Croix—Varsity date TBD.
o Duluth Trip JV/Varsity 8/25 & 8/26; Play at 3pm 8/25 and either noon or 2pm on 8/26
• Chair: Kristi Anderson . Kristi looked at 3 hotel options: 1 in Hermantown and 2 in Canal Park. Selected Comfort Suites in Canal Park. May ask players to provide funds for some meals.
• Old Business
o Committee Descriptions and Duties-excel spreadsheet. Mark distributed the draft spreadsheet and asked for input. Spreadsheet will be updated and finalized.
o Scholarship/Scholarship Committee (will meet mid-April): Coach Stramel, another coach TBD, Mark Enochs, Stacey Bangh, Heidi Swoope. Received 4 applications. Gretchen will email the applications (without names) to Committee for review.
o Need to plan for a Secretary successor –work with Stacey this year to transition; Duties: meeting minutes, putting together important dates postcards, help with budget planning, scholarship communication with RHS; if interested please email Stacey (Stacey.bangh@).

o May Parent/Player Info Meeting
o Discussed having an electronic online file repository such as DropBox or GoogleDrive. Files can also be stored on website.
