The internet wants you to believe that we aren’t doing enough with all of that “extra time” we have now, but staying inside and attending to basic needs is plenty. We have developed a virtual toolkit that will enhance peoples’ well being and health by using the philosophy of experiential education through assessments, self awareness exercises and online resources. Experiential education is a hands-on form of learning that begins with a concrete experience and through specific methods of personal growth where students can take action, reflect, think and learn from their experience, experiential education can continue to be implemented in their lives. This toolkit will help students reconnect with their basic needs.Through the use of computers, online resources, and personal growth tools this toolkit is one way to carry on purposeful experiential education while at home. The virtual toolkit includes an initial mental health and wellness assessment that scores a person on how well they are doing in certain areas of their life and in what areas they need to grow in. After the assessment they will be recommended to pursue different online resources to aid their growth while staying “safe at home.”This tool is a way to keep individuals motivated to work on themselves, to teach them about self awareness and to educate them on what direct actions they can take to better themselves and their life.
