DSHS-approved certificates are routinely used to document completion of caregiver training and continuing education. In the next week or so, the SEIU 775 Benefits Group Training Partnership will launch a new LMS that will allow caregivers to access and provide transcripts along with certificates. WHAT’S NEW, CHANGED, OR CLARIFIED:DSHS has approved the use of the SEIU 775 Benefits Group Official Training Transcript for training documentation effective upon the launch of the Caregiver Learning System, their new learning management system (LMS). The Caregiver Learning Center is accessed by logging into My Benefits on the SEIU 775 Benefits Group website. The new LMS will provide learners with transcripts of training they completed with SEIU 775 Benefits Group. The system will also produce certificates for individual courses. The SEIU 775 Benefits Group has provided this additional information: Once the LMS is launched, students will be able to generate and print their own transcripts and individual certificates from the Caregiver Learning Center. Caregivers are encouraged to use the transcripts because they provide a more complete record of training. Caregivers will need to create a new login to access? My Benefits?and the Caregiver Learning Center. The Caregiver Learning Center will record any training completed with the SEIU 775 Benefits Group. The transcript is a holistic record that can also be used for audit, compliance and payment purposes. The SEIU 775 Member Resources Center (MRC) will be available to walk learners through the system (i.e. how to log in, registration, printing transcripts and certificates, etc.). A “how-to” guide for using the new Caregiver Learning Center will be available on the SEIU 775 Benefits Group website. For employers who use Community Instructors, DSHS-approved certificates of training are still acceptable documentation.ACTION:See the attached sample transcript to familiarize yourself with what the official transcript looks like, and the information it provides.
