You are acquiring the Ethernet MAN Access Services as part of your TID Lite Package.Full details about the service are set out in Annexure A and in Our Customer Terms.TID Lite is only available for selected sites. See Annexure A for further details. Access BandwidthThe access bandwidth refers to the nominal Ethernet data throughput rate limit requested for your Access Service. A feasibility study is required to determine qualification of this product. Further site assessment may be required to identify in building/on-site cabling or infrastructure requirements. Fee for Service may apply for labour and materials. See Service Delivery Essentials Guide for more details. NOTE: We may cancel this order if our obligations to nbn co prevent us from building any Telstra fibre infrastructure required to supply your requested service. In such circumstances, we will exercise reasonable endeavours to offer you the opportunity to order an alternative service on the terms applicable for that service.Port Interface refers to your terminating device interface type. This refers to the physical Ethernet Port speed, not not the access service speed.TX is version of Fast Ethernet based on Copper connection. LX/SX is a version of Fast Ethernet based on optic fibre connection. In building transmission depends on the distance of the cabling and interface type employed. All specifications assume full duplex transmission.Ethernet Port ConfigurationWith Auto Sense the negotiated interface speed and mode may change and affect the overall service throughput. Please only complete this section if you are applying for a TID Lite Package service with Ethernet MAN as the Access Service. TID Lite is only available in selected zones and at sites where existing Telstra Ethernet MAN infrastructure is available, utilising the common network access handoff. TID Lite is not available where any network extension or upgrade is required to deliver TID Lite to your site or your requested service delivery point. TID Lite service will be provided to, and terminated on a Telstra Network Termination Unit (NTU) at the main Building MDF or OFDF Communications Room only (Network Boundary Point). We may determine at our discretion whether your site is eligible for TID Lite. We may reject or cancel your order for TID Lite if we assess that insufficient existing infrastructure is available at your site to qualify for TID Lite. This may be confirmed after an on-site visit. You are responsible for providing and maintaining any cabling from the Network Boundary Point (the Telstra NTU) to your equipment or your own Communications room. Such cabling must be installed by a registered cabling service provider and ACMA’s minimum technical requirements as applicable from time to time. If you request us to provide this additional cabling and we agree to your request, we will charge you additional charges on a fee for service basis. What factors affect the speed of TID Lite? Your selected access bandwidth is the maximum data throughput rate limit for your TID Lite service. TID Lite is a Peak Information Rate service. This means that throughput may vary depending on the number of end users connected at the same time and the associated line transmission rates of those end users. Customers may not always get their purchased bandwidth as this is dependent on the traffic load in the Telstra network. No major service degradation is expected during normal daily peak periods.Your service throughput will also depend on a variety of other factors including:The transmission protocol uses some of the access bandwidth to manage the data transmission; The average payload size: the smaller the payload size, the lower the effective throughput due to higher ratio of transmission overhead; The capability and settings of equipment and systems used by the sender and the recipient of the data transfer including router configurationService Availability TargetTID Lite service availability target can be found in Telstra Internet Direct section and the Access service availability target can be found in the Ethernet MAN section of Our Customer Terms.Service Assurance LevelsThe service assurance targets for TID Lite is Extended Business Hours 7am - 9pm Monday to Sunday, 2 hour response, 12 hour restore (excluding rural/remote site). You can purchase the Business Plus Enhanced SLA which is 24x7, 1 hour response time, 12 hour restore (excluding rural/remote site) for an additional $200 per month. The above service assurance levels are provided on the terms set out in the Standard Restoration, SLA Premium and Telstra Provisioning Commitment section of Our Customer Terms.RelocationsIf you request to relocate a TID Lite service to another site, your relocation site must be eligible for TID Lite in accordance with these TID Lite Product Terms. If we accept your request, you may choose one of these options:You continue your relocated TID Lite service for the remainder of your existing minimum term and you pay the TID Lite relocation fee set out in the TID Lite price list for the relocation; orYou recontract your relocated TID Lite service for a further minimum term (12, 24 or 36 months) and we will waive the relocation fee.If your requested relocation site is not eligible for TID Lite, you may request to transition to a TID Premium Package service for your new site. If we accept your request, and you recontract on the TID Premium Package service for a further 36 months, we will waive the connection fee and relocation fee for the relocation. You may still need to pay network extension charges. If you relocate your TID Lite service under the terms of clauses REF _Ref15631608 \r \h 13 or REF _Ref15631609 \r \h 14, we will not charge an early termination fee for the relocation. Early Termination Charges You must take each TID Lite service for the minimum term.Your minimum term starts when we first supply the TID Lite service to you. Your monthly charges for the service start from the date your minimum term begins. If you terminate a TID Lite service before it’s provisioned, we may charge you 65% of the standard connection charge set out in the TID Lite price list, even if we had waived the connection charge for that service. An early termination fee also applies if: you terminate a TID Lite service before the end of its applicable minimum term, except where the termination is due to our material breach; or we terminate a TID Lite service before the end of its applicable minimum term due to your material breach. The early termination fee is 65% of A × B where: A is the monthly charges payable for the terminated TID Lite service. B is the number of months (or part of a month) from the date of termination until the end of the applicable minimum term. At the time you apply or recontract for your Discounted TID Lite Service, your Eligible Existing Service must be an active working service. The Multi-Product Discount only applies to the Discounted TID Lite service, not the Eligible Existing Service. You will need to apply for the Multi-Product Discount using this Application Form and supply the required information for us to verify that you meet the eligibility criteria.Any application to order a new TID Lite service is subject to our feasibility assessment. For example, we may not accept a new TID Lite order at a site with an existing service on Telstra fibre if the existing infrastructure is not sufficient to support the new TID Lite service. Telstra may remove the TID Multi-Product Discount at any time if you no longer meet any of the eligibility criteria (such as if you cancel your Business IP or Connect IP Ethernet service at the same site). Your TID Lite service will revert back to the standard rates as part of this application form.TID Lite Ethernet MAN Access - Service Delivery Essentials GuideThis guide outlines some key things you need to know and do that affect cost and timeliness of service delivery and service performance. This information is your guidance only and does not form part of the contract terms on which we provide the Service. Costs for cabling Customer equipment configuration requirementsPacket sizes for optimal service speedCablingLead-in: Our fee for service charges apply if you ask us to do lead-in work on your property, including where the existing lead-in pipe is of insufficient size and/or does not access the negotiated rack location. Alternatively, you can arrange for other suitably qualified contractors of your choice to carry out this work at your cost. Service Delivery Point (SDP) Cabling:The cable from the Telstra rack should terminate on your Main Distribution Frame (MDF)/Building Distribution (BD). The standard charge for installation includes cabling, up to a maximum of 7 metres, depending on the service, from Telstra rack to the MDF/BD.If you require the Telstra rack to be located away from the MDF/BD, you will need to discuss this with the Site Assessment Team and additional charges may apply. If you require the service to be terminated in a non-standard fashion, such as on RJ45 termination in a computer network rack, you will need to discuss this with the Telstra installation technician and additional charges may apply. The above diagrams reflect Ethernet-MAN carriage for TID Lite Telstra does not provide ongoing assurance for cabling installed by us on a Fee for Service basis. Communications EquipmentRacks: We will deliver the TID Lite Ethernet-MAN service using one of several rack options chosen by us. In some cases an Optical Fibre termination Unit (OFTU) may be required to be installed to terminate the lead-in optical fibre cable and distribute it within the building.240V Power: You are also responsible for providing 240V power outlets for Telstra NTU within 3m distance each device and your router as applicable. There will be no battery backup for TID Lite service network elements.Your Router CPEThe TID Lite service NTU must be connected directly to a layer 3 capable device such as a router. When a new TID Lite service is close to commissioning, a Configuration letter is sent to your nominated Technical Contact advising you of the configuration requirements of your router. That information is essential for the connectivity and optimal performance of your service. You will also be given information about accessing TID Online portal CustData which provides you with a range of capabilities to manage your service. You should ensure that your router be fit for purpose, be correctly configured, and preferably be somewhat future proof as described below:Packet/Frame Processing Capacity: The router must be able to process packets or frames commensurate with the Service Speed. Compared to large frame sizes (e.g. 1476 bytes), small frame sizes require much more processing power to achieve a given throughput. Router Interface: It is essential that the Ethernet Interface Speed is configured correctly, ‘manually’ set to Full Duplex mode at 10000/1000/100mbps (commensurate with your access speed) fixed rate as per the options on the TID Lite Application Form. The chosen option should be specified in the TID Lite Application form.Router Egress Shaper and Burst settings: In addition to the Ethernet Interface Speed the egress shaper on the router has to be correctly configured. Throughput on the service can be degraded if the router egress shaper is not set to match the subscribed Service Speed. For optimal performance the recommended shaper rates and burst values per you configuration letter should be utilised. Alternatively you can consider a Telstra Managed Data Network device.Packet sizes for optimal service speedService Speed is enforced at the NTU UNI and is calculated on Layer 2 Ethernet service frames. The effective payload throughput reduces with smaller IP packets due to fixed overheads Ethernet and IP protocols. Hence using large IP packet sizes for applications such as video streaming and file transfers enables best use of service speed or bandwidth on the TID Lite Ethernet MAN service. For business critical applications requiring high performance and availability, you should consider TID Premium Package on Ethernet-MAN fibre with redundant access options. ................
