Produced by English contact manufacturers and the Tower Armory. In the mid nineteenth century one of the best all around infantry rifles in the world. Both CSA and Federal armies used this rifle in large numbers, 8-900,000 total. It and the US 58 caliber Springfield were the closest thing to generic rifles during the War for Southern Independence. ................
