Dept. of Homeland Security Performing administrative and operational activities such as responsible for the fuel request and funds for normal and general operations, preparation of routing letters for the public, issuance of documentation required to enter the United States in absence of pertinent documentation. Responsible for agency’s payroll for local employees, all incoming and outgoing personnel, temporary and permanently assigned to the country, as a facility manager, identifying proper housing facilities, accommodating needs as far as moving and assignation of official vehicles. In charge of the official fleet of vehicles, their maintenance assuring they were all in excellent operational conditions. Responsible of visiting Caucedo’s port twice a week, to maintain contacts and communication with local authorities. Principal advisor in regards to regulations related and not limited to allowances, entitlements and benefits, labor relations and resolution of conflicts related to payroll, allowances, and official expenses entitlements for American and Local employees. Managed three compensation plans depending on employment category. Responsible for the execution of the Direct Deposit of Salary in 1999 for Dominican employees, as well as the digitalization of all payroll documents, enabling electronic audits and generation of reports for inspections’ purposes. Reconcile and handled representation allowance vouchers, Official Representation Expenses for Ambassador and Deputy Chief of Mission, managed and handled all special needs, separate maintenance allowance, changes in entitlements of allowance based on presence at post. Handled grant forms for initiation of such allowances as well as termination and adjustments if/when applicable. Drafted telegrams to the U.S. Department of State in regards to all allowance entitlements for American Employees, reporting adjustments due to absence, family reduction in size, departure and arrival from and to the host country. Ad hoc activities, credited due to simultaneous efforts such as the coordination of worldwide conferences, participation in internal activities, such as the induction process as a facilitator for US and Local employees, Participation and member of Embassy’s Credit Union, launching of weekly Financial Newsletter, personally in charged and project manager of its designed, information, implementation, launching and routine maintenance of HR and FMO Web-pages. Primarily responsible for the writing and edition of internal policy, standard operating procedures related to the Payroll and Allowance office based on local labor laws and USDOS regulations. Liaison with all education local and international entities for grants and allowance purposes on behalf of American Dependents in the country. Coordinated the need of funds with all US Agencies, to allocate amounts required per fiscal year. Primary and only responsible for the Payroll & Allowance section in the execution of the biweekly salary payments of all U.S. Department of State employees in Santo Domingo, D.R., in accordance and adherence to Local Labor Laws and US regulations. Main liaison with the Financial Service Center in Charleston, S.C., and banking entities such as Citibank, Banco León regarding payroll payments, security, and credits bonus payments. Back up for Management Counselor’s Administrative assistance and project manager for important VIP visits to the country, accommodating and arranging hotel and transportation, for high US Government officials, as well as the organization of conferences, activities, and events hosted by the Embassy in the country. U.S. Department of State Managed the Switchboard Department and it’s employees (4) as far as the overall

U.S. Embassy Santo Domingo and external telecommunications, handling of phone calls (local and international) liaison with major telecommunication companies, obtaining excellent discounts of long distance calls, calling plans, international rates for the the use of dedicated lines, lan lines, installations of additional lines for the frame room, cable TV service; Supervised switchboard operators in their routine work placing and screening all incoming calls for Ambassador and Chief of Mission, placing long distance calls to high ranking officials in Washington, DC. Our office handled all outgoing and incoming telegrams and fax transmittal communications as well as all interoffice mail received on a daily basis. Direct supervision of receptionists, handled the time and attendance for the office, including three American officers. Responsible for employees’ annual evaluations as a rater, establishing annual goals and objectives, their couaching and plans of improvement. Oklahoma City, OK, USA Marketing, Sales of AT&T products and promoting the company as the primary choice of service for residential use. Approaching and managing customers by inbound calls and providing them with explanations of benefits and comparison between AT&T and the competition. The objective was to win over customers from other companies, which gain rapport and business after the monopoly ended in 1991 in the telecommunication industry in the mid-western United States.
