NFCS SUMMER READING LIST – FIFTH GRADENorth Florida Christian School expects all students to read during the summer. Parents are encouraged to participate in this process by helping their child choose appropriate books to read. This suggested list for summer reading is not exclusive but attempts to provide choices for various reading abilities and interests. Books chosen to read should be chapter books and at or above the child’s grade level. Children need guidance in selecting the right books. Students entering the Fifth Grade should read a minimum of four (4) books during the summer. Each of these books must be chapter books and should be on their grade level. The book titles and author’s names should be written at the bottom of this form. The attached form should be completed discussing one chapter book of your choice. The completed list and book form should be signed by a parent and submitted to the teacher on the first day of the new school year. Each child that turns in their summer reading the first week of school will participate in an off campus lunch with their class and receive a bonus reading test grade of 100.TitleAuthorBonus Box!
