In particular, the portfolio reduces risks to critical assets to ensure a safe, secure, and resilient transportation system. Cyber maturity is a multi-year journey, of which the Transport cluster is currently delivering year 1 of a 3 year rolling fund business case.Primary purpose of the roleThe Software Engineer will be responsible for the automation and orchestration of security controls that are deployed, ensuring the successful transition to Business As Usual (BAU) of cyber capabilities via the AMP Cyber Program and the Cyber Defence Operations Stream. This automation will reduce the amount of low value manual work and provide information, not data to cyber analysts to evaluate and respond to. The role will also be responsible for stakeholder management of Procurement, Group IT and IT & OT stakeholders across the divisions and branches.Key accountabilitiesDevelop and maintain automation and orchestration scripts for the automation and orchestration of security controls via Splunk Phantom and other security tools, that are deployed in the AMP Cyber Program and the Cyber Defence Operations Stream.Take primary responsibility for the design, development, testing, documentation, deployment and maintenance automation and orchestration scripts.Develop custom code using the Python language and regular expressions if required. The role is also responsible for engaging with the AMP Cyber Program, the Cyber Defence Operations team and the Transport Cyber Solutions & Operations (TCSOS) team to understand business and customer requirements and for recommending ways that facilitate greater automation.Continuous improvement of scripts for the automation and orchestration of security controls.Providing advice to the AMP Cyber Program Manager, the Cyber Defence Operations Stream Lead and TCSOS team on all automation and orchestration software maintenance, development and planning issues.
