American-Scottish Foundation announces special member travel benefits to celebrate 50th Anniversary

###

In celebration of its 50th Anniversary The American-Scottish Foundation (“ASF”) has launched with British Airways a special Anniversary travel program that offers ASF members and their immediate families traveling from any point of the globe to the U.S. or Scotland in 2006 the following special benefits as long as the international segment of the flight is on British Airways:

First Class: 20% discount on published fares

Club World/Club Europe: 20% discount on published fares

World Traveler plus: 15% discount on published fares

World Traveler: (Economy Class) 10 % discount on most published fares

The arrangement permits members to manage their own bookings online and to choose the amenities they want. An extensive menu of additional discounted travel options including hotel, car rental, sightseeing and theatre reservations is available.

With a special ASF password, members have direct access to British Airways’ reservation system () in which Members’ special discount status is recognized, giving them access to the most favorable price available for the route, date and flight they have chosen. Payment can be conveniently made by credit card. Travel arrangements are immediately confirmed by an electronic ticket number and itinerary which are emailed to the passengers directly. Paper tickets are not required.

Itineraries recommended by VisitScotland are available. The joint ASF/BA Anniversary program guarantees flight availability, though of not of a specific flight, because there are no booking class or cabin restrictions. Members can customize their travel plans and be assured that they will always be offered the best possible deal from British Airways for the flight, date and activities that they have chosen.

ASF, founded in 1956, is the pre-eminent U.S. based national, nonprofit membership organization dedicated to bringing together institutions and individuals, particularly of Scotland and the United States, through cultural, educational, and economic interest, for mutual benefit.
