Beauty School 101Hi I’m ______________ !DIY Beauty is one of my favorites because it’s cheaper and chemical/toxin free!In the past two years, I have experimented with recipes and there are very few things that I don’t make myself or order from Young Living or Alice in terms of beauty.Disclaimer: I am not a doctor. I cannot diagnose, prescribe, treat or cure anything. This class is for educational purposes only.I can’t answer questions but I can share some educational resources.Let’s talk about Natural Skin Care……#1.Use the oils that you love their scent and ditch the perfume. I am now perfume free. Choose an oil that is good for your skin. If you have dry skin, you probably wouldn’t choose Peppermint Oil. #2. Go slow…..Choose to go chemical free but do one step at a time. For 33 years my skin has never done anything on it’s own. Your skin has to have time to know what to do. Experiment with some oils/recipes and find the best ones for you. It takes time to get it right…#3 It will take basically 2 weeks for your skin cells to turn over. There will be a transitional period. Basically your old cells will die and new ones will be born. Base your choices on your GOALS. After 2 weeks is really when you can what the DIY products can do for you! Some people need a few days and some need months. Your body has to figure it out. You can’t use your retail products at the same time. Those products are stripping your skin of oils and the DIY products are trying to restore it.Basically, stop and everything and try some of your recipes. One product at a time. Choose the best for your skin type.*Your skin produces oil naturally.*U.S researchers report that one in eight of the 82,000 ingredients used in personal care products are industrial chemicals, including carcinogens, pesticides, toxins, reproductive and hormone disruptors. (which the FDA says are ok for us to use!)The average retail product has 15-16 ingredients so you can get an idea of what you are putting on your skin.Traditional Beauty products can contain:BHA and BHT: Suspected endocrine disruptors and may cause cancer.Parabens: may interfere with reproductive functions.Fragrance: Some fragrances can trigger allergies and asthma, cancer and neurotoxicity. Is your products safe?Go to is a great resource to check and see how safe your products are.So you want safe products?*DIY or Buy?*Check labels*Ingredients: Organic or Non-GMO or contact the company.*Essential Oils: Young LivingOils for Skin Care1.Essential oils are not the same as carrier oils.2.
