Medical Integration Clinician at Behavioral Health Network

Independently licensed Medical Integration Clinician at Behavioral Health Network Independently licensed clinicians (LICSW or LMHC) provide integrated behavioral health services to children and/or adults in our rapidly growing and innovative medical integration program, offering person-centered and solution focused treatment. Medical Integration Clinicians work collaboratively with medical personnel and serve as an integral part of the medical team. In this position, you will provide comprehensive intake evaluations with clinical formulations and recommendations based on sound clinical principles and judgment, individual family, couples, and/or group treatment and brief encounters based n sound clinical theories and principles, brief assessment, intervention, and short term therapy based upon the assessed needs of the client and the resources available to serve these clients, and follow-up services and resources to individuals appropriate to the identified needs. Medical Integration Clinicians refer the patient in need of behavioral health services for full assessment and ongoing services at a specialty behavioral health clinic. People in this position also maintain a direct service caseload and direct service productivity as established by the program, and provide consultation to primary care providers about behavioral health and social services topics and interventions of private patients, as appropriate. In this role, Medical Integration Clinicians deliver health-promoting psycho-education to clients, provide comprehensive risk/crisis evaluations and take appropriate actions to keep clients and others safe, and maintain flexibility in providing services in settings other than clinics, such as a home or community setting. They document and bill for services in a manner that is compliant with all applicable rules and regulations, and recognize when crisis and critical services are indicated and coordinate with the medical site(s) to ensure safety. Medical Integration Clinicians complete documentation as required in the ECR of the medical site(s), complete all documentation utilizing Collaborative Documentation whenever possible, and produce paperwork that addresses relevant clinical issues and is consistent with best practices. Medical Integration provides targeted, flexible behavioral health support in the primary care setting through treatment that is person-centered, evidenceinformed, and focused on collaborate goal-setting. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. Independently Licensed Medical Integration Clinicians at BHN have the following qualities:

? Licensed or actively working towards a license (required). ? Minimum of one year experience working as a master's level clinician. ? Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family

Therapy (required). ? Effective communication and collaboration with medical personnel is essential in this role ? Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred). ? Broad knowledge of mental illness and treatment techniques, particularly severely and

persistently mentally ill adults or severely emotionally disturbed children. ? Familiarity with the internet, word processing, and email systems. ? Experience working with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Population. ? Cultural competence in dealing with clients with a variety of cultural backgrounds. ? Working knowledge of community resources and how to help clients access them.
