Accessing the Entry to a Major Application

3. Applica6on is available in the Engineering Entry--to--a-- Major channel.

General Engineering majors who began at Texas A&M University in Fall 2014 or later should use the Entry-to-a-Major application to request admission to up to two engineering majors. Login to your Howdy Portal using your NetID and password. Click the My Record tab.

The application is available in the Engineering Entry-to-a-Major channel. Click "Engineering Entry-to-a-Major".

3. Click Apply to begin

The eligibility box on the left indicates if you have met the criteria. A green box indicates that criteria has been met. A red box indicates that you have not met the criteria. ? All criteria must be met in order to submit the application.

The detail of each criteria is outlined in the white box on the right. ? Note: If you have any questions about the criteria, please contact your assigned advisor. ? If you do not know who your assigned advisor is, please call 979-845-7200.

Assuming you have met all of the criteria click the "Apply Button" to begin your application. *Note: You will be able to save your application and complete it at a later time.

Read the Aggie Code of Honor Agreement, click the box to indicate you have read and agreed to the honor code. Then click the "Save & Continue" button.

You are required to select one major, but you may apply for two. ? You cannot select the same major twice. ? For additional information about engineering majors, please click the blue text that reads "Need more information on engineering majors?"

Major Selection Deciding Factors

1. Select the reason(s) why you chose this major

2. Click Save and Con6nue

This section is asking you to select all factors that influenced your decision to apply for your intended major(s) .Factors can include the ENGR 111/112 evening sessions, your peers or parents, student organizations, high school activities, scholarships, and/or experience you have had with professionals in the field (industry). You must select at least one factor.

Click "Save & Continue".
