RECAP OF OCTOBER EVENTS

In October, we had two of our most prestigious events of the year with the Ladies "Dove Classic" Member Guest and Men's Member/Member. Both events went seamlessly and all the players that participated had a wonderful time.

DOVE CLASSIC

MGA MEMBER/MEMBER

This year's Men's Member/Member event was one of the best ones we have ever had! From the putting tournament Friday night to the awards on Sunday afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the entire tournament. Big congratulations to all the winning teams from the tournament!

UPCOMING EVENTS

As we inch closer to the end of 2019, November will be our month of

champions! It will start with our Couples Club Championship on November

2nd where participants will play in a one day event to compete for the top net

spot. The following weekend we jump right into our two day Men's Club

Championship, Men's Senior Club Championship, and Women's Club

Championship. This will mark the first time ever that we have held all these

events over one weekend! We are excited for this amazing weekend!

Also in November, we will have our Ladies Presidents Cup which will consist of three flights playing in a round robin format over 4 days of match play. The winners of each flight will move on to play against each other for the overall Presidents Cup Champion. Good luck ladies!

SCRATCH LEAGUE

Our defending state champion scratch league team pulled off an amazing feat on October 25th. We were trailing in the syndicate coming into the final match of the season. The team needed to score nearly every available point to be able to proceed to the playoffs and they did just that! They scored 33 of 35 available points, which left us tied with El Camino Country Club for first place. The tiebreaker took place on Hole #1, where our own Greg Lopez and Adam Capasso beat out the two players from El Camino to push our team to the playoffs. Great job gentleman! Good luck through the playoffs!

ROCKTOBER BRINGS MOWVEMBER

This is one of the more enjoyable times of the year. When things start to cool off and the golf course begins to show its fall colors. The grass slows down in growth and we can devote time and energy into giving the golf course a different kind of haircut. We've been hard at work moving mulch up hills, cleaning up branches, fixing irrigation and leveling tees. A little bit of everything, but that's what it takes to make a beautiful golf course.

Some reminders as we get closer to our rainy season. Remember to fix your ball marks, sand your divots and let the return to path signs guide you. The better we can manage our traffic the easier it is to keep fairways open to traffic.

Below are examples of some of the clean up work we've been doing.
