Photo III - Central Bucks School District

Photo III Photo Abstraction

Your job as a photographer will always be to take photos that are interesting to look at. Sometimes photographers get into a routine that takes away the creative spark needed for a great shot. To help you stay loose and get your creativity flowing, we are venturing into abstract photography. An abstract is simply something that doesn’t resemble anything symbolically or traditionally. For example, when people think of a tree they usually envision a tree with branches, leaves, tree bark, fruit, etc… But if you just took a close up of the leaf or the bark, people wouldn’t think of it as a tree anymore, but rather as an interesting pattern, texture, or just beautiful image. This is what we are aiming for. We are going to take shots that of things around school and its close proximity that are interesting to look at. There is a world of exciting images to find all around. Your job is to look harder, see better, and start getting more creative with what is around you. Once you do this, you will start seeing potential in everything.
