Baltimore, also known as Charm City, is an excellent site ...

EAM 2003: Welcome to Baltimore!

April 30 through May 3rd, 2003

Baltimore (the “Charm City”) has something for everyone, from history and culture to the Orioles and the Ravens playing right next door to the EAM hotel (Sheraton Inner Harbor), in two of the most modern stadiums in the world.

Baltimore's cuisine ranges from Chesapeake Bay fresh seafood and fabulous crabs to the delights of Little Italy and gourmet restaurants serving food from around the world. Even the hot dogs are special: the concession firm that makes hot dogs in the PSINet Ravens Stadium was rated best in the country!

The Inner Harbor was redeveloped in the late 1970s and its waterfront area is a big tourist attraction with retail stores, restaurants, street entertainers, open air concerts, paddle boats, cruise boats and an outdoor skating rink. Inner Harbor attractions include the Baltimore Aquarium, Port Discovery (for kids of all ages) and the Maryland Science Center. The Inner Harbor is also minutes away from charming Baltimore neighborhoods such as Little Italy and historic Fells Point, with its cobblestone streets and unique shops. Nearby historic Nearby is the cultural center of the city, with the Peabody Conservatory of Music, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Orchestra, the Peale Museum, The Walters Art Gallery, the American Visionary Museum, and the homes of Edgar Allan Poe and H.L. Mencken. And don’t miss a visit to Fort McHenry, center stage in the battle that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem that later became "The Star-Spangled Banner!"
