All Subjects

Go to ‘curriculum’ and choose the subject you are interested in – there are links to many other sites with plenty of interactive resources.

Plenty of worksheets and PowerPoint presentations covering most of the core areas of the curriculum.

Mainly Numeracy, Literacy and Science games and interactive activities.

Age appropriate, subject specific activities, games, worksheets and experiments. Also has revision activities.

Welsh grid for learning, activities supporting all areas of the curriculum including F/S. Set up as Starter, Main Activity and Plenary for most subjects.

Fun and useful interactive activities for most subjects as well as games for the children.

Mainly useful for Lit. Num. and Topic work – also has some lovely materials to make up displays/role play areas etc.

This site has links to all subjects and generally the resources are PowerPoint presentations, worksheets or ideas rather than interactive resources.

A very odd combination of random Science, History, Art and Literacy activities but interactive and fun!

Scroll down the page to view activity by curriculum topic. Some really nice interactive activities – bright and colourful so particularly nice for F/S and K/S 1.

Scroll down to subject grid for links – mainly interactive resources. There are some broken links, but on the whole, pretty good.

A limited range of resources for children with SEN but particularly useful are the ‘feelings bubble’ and ‘certificate maker’.

Takes time to use, but can find subject and age specific IAWB resources, ideas and whole lesson plans which is very helpful. Resources are also moderated by teachers to ensure they meet curriculum requirements.

Helpful at the planning stage as this is the Government site containing the schemes of work for each subject, (not including Literacy or Numeracy, although there is a link to the Primary National Strategy).

Some Literacy, Numeracy and Science based activities – not a huge range but easy to use.

A free website but you do need to create an account – very worth it though as it provides activprimary flipcharts to support many different topics – nice for a visual introduction or plenary.

A really lovely collection of topic based articles, stories and images (Mainly history or F/S based).

Another site that you will have to register with (for free) in order to download the pdf’s. It is possible to download changeable word documents but only if you join as a paying member.

Wide ranging history resources, many of which we can support with Communicate In Print if required.

F/S only – work/craft by theme.

A great site but put on your sunglasses for the first page!! Click on core subject from list on left hand side – some great activities that could also be copied into exercise books.

A bit hit and miss but some of the free lessons are good: includes objective, planning and any resources to print.

Useful for F/S and KS1 predominantly, click on the green ‘free resources’ button on the right of the screen then look at the curriculum areas down the left side of the page – excellent for language comprehension.

Literacy

A whole range of lovely interactive games for Primary aged children.

For early years – American site so watch the accent but the children love it!

Sebastian swan big books to share with the class, including some questions about the text (also available in French and Welsh!!!)

Looks at the history of the written word, with ideas for making scrolls, writing during Victorian Times etc.

BBC website based on ‘letter and sounds’. Includes some great online games and activities – particularly the blending games.

CHRISTMAS ONLY!! E-mail Santa with your class and receive a great reply – a very sweet activity for the younger classes (also includes games and other activities).

Audio books, stories and games. Many of the stories are ‘classics’ eg. from the brothers Grimm (read with an American accent)

A fun spelling game against an opponent (computer) and the clock. Also improves typing speed and accuracy.

Links for books on the Usbourne reading scheme but also helpful for topic work as it has good hyperlinks.

A fantastic maths dictionary complete with visual demonstrations of many difficult concepts

Fun maths games that can be set to different levels of difficulty. Each ‘level’ is a different game to the one preceding it.

Maths games for older children although they will probably be unaware that it is ‘work’!

Great maths games that can be set at different levels – playing against an opponent (computer) or the clock – very addictive!
