Firstly businesses need to adhere to legislation which is another way of saying they need to stay within the law. The business will have set rules for what procedures the employees will need to follow if there is a fire or another reason why they may have to evacuate the building. P1Health and safety is regulations and procedures intended to prevent accident or injury in workplaces or public environments. This is important because following health and safety procedures is needed. If employees don’t follow it then an accident may occur and this would be breaking the Health and Safety Law and this can look bad on the business all because the employee didn’t follow procedure. P1An example of following an organisational procedure is at the Blandford School. This is because when there is a fire alarm all students and staff must walk to the top of the fields and there they will be registered in respective year groups and tutors. This then allows for them to know if anyone is missing.
