TWO Motorcycle Resort, Suches, USA [Georgia]

1:30PM Eastern Standard Time

UNOFFICIAL INFORMATION DOCUMENT - AMA SANCTION PENDING

150 rider limit

We are going to take off some time from watching the hope and change show to have another True Grits 50cc Fun Ride. It has been an interesting year with more on the immediate horizon that will keep us on our toes.

Attention, this is not a race event. It is an opportunity to ride your street legal motorcycle on a public highway for grins giggles and a cheap plaque.

The riding portion of our event will start at 1:30 pm. Signup will be open until 12:45 with our world famous riders meeting at 1:00 pm. We will do our best to have trophies handed out by 5pm.

Once again the cool route we love to ride has an interruption planned on the Blue Ridge dam for as long as two years to repair the dam. We are looking at a couple of alternate routes that will give you 100k of grins and lasting memories.

On the political side of things I am constantly amazed at the focus of those who are charge of our country that is the best place on the planet to call home. Thousand page plus laws are passed without anyone reading the entire bill spending trillions of dollars in the process. My current favorite is the so called health care bill that will turn our medical care upside down, adding layers of government supervision, and by the way the congress has opted out of their participation. It is like the social security we have and they have a separate retirement as well as the exemption of union organization for all who work for the congress and the senate. Meanwhile Goldman Sachs is making record profits in a few weeks after taking tarp funds while their competition has faded away in bankruptcy. Can you count the number of former Goldman Sachs managers working in treasury? By the way, how much is a trillion? How long would it take a clock to tick off one trillion seconds? How about 31,700 years to tick off a trillion seconds.

How about nearly three dozen Czars who are in charge of all sorts of projects? They are hired by the President at our expense with powers unchecked and their back rounds that are not checked or approved by congress. Oh, the congress is busy looking into whether the CIA was working without congress oversight on a plan to take out terrorists who vow to kill all of us.

Hope may be fading just a tad and that change promised may be the chump change you have left over after the explosion of taxes that are on the horizon.

It is your deal to make sure your motorcycle is street legal, wear a helmet and most important ride in a way that will not damage the image of motorcycling. North Georgia has its share of squids and the police will make your life miserable if you push their hospitality.

We will continue to donate a portion of the entry fee and additional funds donated to some folks who have been an asset to the motorcycle community in the Suches area. Last year the total donated was over $3100 from our famous cookie sale. Thanks to all who put a little extra on their entry form.

Our costs for the event have gone up in the past few years. We will hold the entry to the same level as last year. If you choose to entry after October 1, we are going to shake you down for an additional $5.00 for a late fee. In addition we will stick to the original plan of a limit of 150 riders.

Questions are welcome. You can email me at ben4072003@ or give me a call at 770-329-3259. Our unofficial web site is and look for the 50cc icon.

I am also involved with a wonderful organization the Dream House for Medically Fragile children. F.A.R.T. is the promoter of record for the April 18th family off road fun ride at Aonia Motorcycle park and the Dream House 500 on October 3th. The Dream House 500 is a 500km road event and a dual sport event in the north Georgia mountains. More information can be found at , and . I would love to see you at one of these fine events for a wonderful community service in the Atlanta area.

Finally, I would like to take the opportunity to thank a few of the folks that have been an asset for our event. The staff and management of TWO motorcycle resort
