P Freshness and quality in the heart of Berlin

Opened in 1965, Berlin Wholesale Market is a major trading centre covering an area of some 330,000 m2. A wide variety of top quality fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and convenience products are traded at Berlin Wholesale Market. The new flower wholesale market is scheduled to open on the site in 2010. Total turnover is around a billion euros a year, making the "Belly of Berlin" one of the most important wholesale markets in Germany. The wholesale market supplies goods to a populous region of the country: in addition to the national capital, Berlin, the catchment area includes Brandenburg state and parts of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
