The famous Chef Ramsey hired YOU to become caterers at the most famous and fancy restaurants in SF and Marin! ?You will get paid based on the cost per person per recipe!Chef Gordon Ramsay asked you all to prepare a thematic meal and serve an appetizer, a main course AND a dessert at 2 of the 4 parties below:Ms. Marshall’s Class Picnic:# Guests: 50Camp DC Carlson Dinner with the Stars# Guests: 8Jewelry and Fashion Show Event# Guests: ?96Sports Mania Competition Event# Guests: 6You may EITHER choose the Chef’s OR YOUR favorite family recipe (His recipes are available for downloading.), or find recipes in the cookbooks in the classroom. (Please, no on-line recipes.) Each recipe you choose must have at least 5 ingredients, and all 5 must be in either mixed number or fraction form. You may change an original recipe if you need to for this project. Create a food theme for each party: Holiday, Cultural, etc. Keep in mind how many people each recipe serves and be sure to adjust the ingredients amount based on numbers of guests per party. You will need to change the recipes at each event so as to provide every guest with one serving of each of the recipes you choose. GUIDELINES1. To accomplish the task, YOU MUST CHOOSE AND ADJUST INGREDIENTS FOR an appetizer, main dish, dessert—and they must be different ones chosen for 2 of the 4 CATERING PARTIES. THEREFORE, a total of 6 recipes are chosen and adjusted (2 appetizers, 2 main dishes, 2 desserts).2. Calculate the amount of money you will make based on the number of people per party and the cost per person per recipe.3. Include a TITLE PAGE FOR THIS PROJECT. Each recipe must be LABELED WITH THE NAME OF THE RECIPE, the original number it serves and its original ingredients. Then, underneath or next to the original recipe list the adjusted amounts and the new number of people it is serving. You may either type this up in Google Docs (and create either a Word or Presentation document) or write it down and hand it in to me. ?4. (optional) Final part of project: Produce a cooking show video OR create a slide show!Write a script (1 page) about the background of your recipes that you chose, why you chose them, & include how you became one of the best chefs in the SF/Marin area. ?Then teach your viewers/readers how to adjust the recipes to serve more or less people to have the most accurate and tastiest dinner party ever. You will also write about the supplies and tools that are needed. When your scripts are completed, please send me or print out the scripts for grading purposes. If you do not wish to do a video , then create a slide show of this information. ................
