Schaerer Coffee Art Plus

Increased convenience in Schaerer Coffee Art Plus

New functions guarantee an even more user-friendly experience

Zuchwil, Switzerland, 08/01/2015 – In 2015, the best-selling Schaerer Coffee Art Plus model will include new features that will make it even easier to operate the coffee machine. The attractive user interface with a capacitive touchscreen is a clear highlight, as it allows every user to automatically prepare a multitude of high-quality speciality coffees at the touch of a button. Thanks to the barista function – which has already proven to be a success in Schaerer Coffee Prime and Coffee Vito for several years – Schaerer Coffee Art Plus users are now also able to adjust the coffee strength in each beverage to suit their individual tastes and can ensure that essential extra caffeine boost at the touch of a button. But the Schaerer Coffee Art Plus has more than just new features on the outside. The innovative locking mechanism on the bean hopper not only makes it easy to remove, but is also a great help when it comes to cleaning the coffee machine. And last but not least, the improved boiler insulation ensures clear cost reductions as it reduces energy consumption by 30 per cent.

"The Schaerer Coffee Art Plus has inspired users for years and requested improvements almost exclusively concern fine details. However, it's exactly these details that must also be considered. As a result, we have made targeted modifications to the coffee machines in terms of user-friendliness and energy efficiency", says Peter Marques, Director of Product Management & Marketing at Schaerer AG.

Quality at a glance

The new user interface utilises the screen dimensions to the fullest extent possible and, thanks to larger fonts and beverage buttons, makes it easier for both younger and older users to operate the coffee machine especially in self-service mode. The attractive beverage display does more than just provide for a modern appearance. Thanks to improved colour combinations, users are impressed by increased display clarity and contrast. The display can be individually managed and customised via the configuration page, meaning that the user only sees the relevant information thus creating an intuitive operating experience. This new type of simplicity does not come at the expense of selection or coffee quality – quite the opposite: even greater coffee/milk composition customisation options are available and, thanks to the barista function that allows the user to increase the coffee quantity, nothing stands in the way of a spontaneous caffeine boost.

Fast and simple

The new, optional coffee-shop-style bean hopper not only shines as a result of its striking design. A sophisticated locking mechanism also makes the cleaning process significantly easier. The trick here is that the bean hopper automatically locks and can be removed effortlessly by means of a simple rotating movement – which means that the machine can be cleaned in the blink of an eye. What's more, the grinders, which are adjusted from above in the new version, represent a significant boost in terms of maintenance efficiency. As optional accessories no longer need to be removed (in the coffee shop version, you don't even need to remove the bean hopper), service technicians get quicker access which means that the coffee machine is ready to spoil the guests on the spot again with delicious speciality coffees in the shortest amount of time possible.
