VOLLEYBALLCoach Owens HYPERLINK "mailto:doradosvb@" doradosvb@Hello CDO families!I am pleased to inform you that this coming Monday, September 21 we will begin training at CDO. Practices will go from 4-6pm and we will go Monday through Friday. ?I want to allow all the players the opportunity to train and get some touches without any pressure then we will conduct tryouts the following week. They will be Monday and Tuesday - Sept 28-29.To participate parents/guardians will need to have completed the Athletic Packets and the two forms attached to this email; ASD Preparticipation Health Screen and Sports Parent-Guardian Waiver (Covid-19). In order to train you need to be cleared and on the list. Please do this as soon as possible.Players need to have enough water for the two hours of practice and in order to enter the gym they will need to have masks. We will follow the guidelines given to us as far as sanitation, distancing and other best practices that will allow us to continue to train and play. We are excited to begin and will be setting up a Zoom call for all CDO Volleyball families very soon. If you have any questions please call me (509) 330-6372.Girls GolfCoach Watkins bwatkins@The season is here. This golf season is going to be an abbreviated season for us. The AIA is still continuing with the dates set for competitions and the state championship. Our division championship is November 2nd and 3rd. We have been allowed to play 14 matches/ and our top 7 matches count toward the team being eligible to qualify for the state competition. We thus have a small window to have matches. Since all our matches in southern Arizona will need to be reworked this is currently up in works. The Amphitheater School District has given us the go ahead for starting practice on September 21st. We need to get cleared through athletics. The athletic forms can be found on the school website. They can be filled out electronically or printed out and turned in manually. There are a few new forms Covid-19 related that you may need to fill out as well. PLEASE fill out these forms as soon as possible because it's required to practice. If you are cleared by Monday you can practice Monday. If not you can not practice until that happens.Initial guidelines include all participants be driven to and from practice by themself or with a family member. You need to bring your own water. We are all required to wear a mask. (provided by the individual) If you are having any symptoms please do not come to practice and let me know. There will be a daily checklist of questions I will need to ask each team member. There are other protocols in place if a player has been in contact / lives with anyone who has tested positive for Covid 19. If this applies to you let me know.Practice will be at El Conquistador Country Club at 10555 North La Canada Any questions please give me a call Cell # 520-891-9495Boys Golf Coach Tarbet HYPERLINK "mailto:jtarbet@" jtarbet@We have been cleared by the board to start our pre-season activities on Sept. 21st. Make sure you have the athletic packet turned into the office along with the parent waiver and health screen forms. Everyone that is trying out will have to find their own transportation to the golf courses for the events and practices. This season will look very different than in the past due to the number of people allowed at the course at one time. We may be capping the team at 8-10 players for this modified/ short season. Unfortunately, this may mean that players that have been with us for a few years may not have a spot on the team. We just cannot keep the traditional 10-15 players on our roster. We will be looking to keep the students who can produce the lowest scores on the course. When the time comes closer, the coaches will reevaluate the projected roster spots. ?Cross CountryCoach Gerard mgerard@ and Coach Sanchez rxurbody@ We are so excited that the Amphi Board has approved Fall Sports to begin, next Monday, September 21st.? To make sure we are ready to begin on Monday there are some things that you need to do. And there are rules that we all need to follow so that season is not cut short due to someone getting ? We need to have every day count, as the AIA regulations state that ?an athlete may not compete until he/she has 14 days of practice, which can include Saturdays.? That would put our first meet, October 10th, the Rattler invitational in Rio Rico. If you have been running club, you must cease participation before the 21st and any meets you are entered in after this date, you may not compete in as it would be an AIA violation.? We will be updating our schedule on by then end of the week.? We are trying to add an additional Wednesday meet to our schedule on 10/29.? Please read the return to practice protocol.? Every athlete is responsible to bring his/her own water and wear a mask.? Coach Sanchez and I will also get some Costco water bottles we can put into our cars for emergencies. Please it is so important that if you feel sick at all, that you stay home and DO NOT COME TO PRACTICE,? we want to be able to get through our season safely and also be able to finish it. We have tried to get as many emails as we could, but if you know of anyone that is needing this information, please forward this email.? Look forward to finally being with everyone and training!!!? Please contact us if you have any questions.SwimCoach Inboden jeninboden@Swimmers either drive themselves or get dropped off by a parent. Swimmers and parents are told not to attend practice if feeling ill.Swimmers arrive at 3:50pm and meet in park where coaches will take attendance and complete monitoring form. Swimmers arrive with masks and already changed into swimsuit and with a full bottle of water. There is a touchless bottle filling station at OVAC.Coaches confirm that swimmers have their own towel and goggles. It is not permitted to share equipment.Swimmers are given lane assignments and told which end of the pool they will enter the water.Team enters OVAC facility at 4:00pm. Swimmers place their belongings in designated areas and enter water in assigned lanes. See attached diagram for four people per lane plan to ensure social distancing while in the water. On the first day of practice swimmers will be oriented to the facility and shown where the restrooms are, where hand sanitizer is located, and where the bottle filling station is. Typically during the first two weeks new swimmers are added each day. Each of the new additions will be oriented. In past years we averaged 25 athletes at practice each day. This year if we exceed 24 swimmers at a practice we will need to develop cohorts. The more novice swimmers will only be invited to practice either Monday/Wednesday/every other Friday or Tuesday/Thursday/every other Friday.Swim practice ends at 5:30pm. Swimmers will be instructed to leave the facility in their swimwear and change and shower at home. Swimmers should drive themselves home or get picked up by a parent.Nothing will need to be sanitized at the end of practice since each athlete will have his own equipment. The staff at the Oro Valley Aquatic Center are responsible for hourly sanitizing touch points around the facility. Parent meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30 at 6pm via Zoom.Cheer/ Spiritline Karen Wadhams kwadhams@ Please check put the CDO homepage for info on cheer tryouts and parent meeting.
