Chris makes a concerted effort to make the most of his college experience, both academically and socially, so that he is well-prepared for his future. "I see a future for myself in the management industry," says the operations management major. "I can see many different exciting career paths that will come from this degree."

And as a resident assistant and housing ambassador, Chris is broadening his career horizons much more by standing at the pulse of campus life. "I get to see firsthand everything the school has to offer," he says. "I've seen so much growth on campus in the short time I've been here, and I'm proud to have been part of it."

Caitlin was one of only five nursing students recently accepted into a prestigious internship program. It's an opportunity she wouldn't have had if she didn't change her major her freshman year. She shifted her focus from kinesiology to nursing and hasn't looked back.

She's been learning criticalthinking skills in the classroom and developing practical skills while working with simulated patients in the Smart Hospital. Plus, her internship provided the realworld experience she needs to step into a healthcare setting following graduation.

"I learned more about myself as a nurse and gained more confidence in my abilities. When it comes time to work in the field, I will be ready to provide quality patient care," Caitlin says.

Along with the Smart Hospital, we're also home to the Nanotechnology Research and Teaching Facility, whose researchers manipulate individual atoms and molecules that could herald the next electronics revolution.
