|Definition: |A questionnaire to measure of body checking behaviors, such as monitoring changes in weight and size. |
|About the Protocol |
| |
|Description of Protocol: |The Body Checking Questionnaire (BCQ) is a 23-item self-report questionnaire that measures body checking behaviors. The BCQ |
| |includes three subscales that assess checking related to overall appearance, checking of specific body parts, and idiosyncratic|
| |checking rituals. Each item is scored on a 5-point Likert-type scale, ranging from 1 = never to 5 = very often. |
| | |
| |Scores for each subscale are calculated by adding individual items together. |
