Safety through Social Distancing

Research shows that the stricter you are when it comes to social distancing, the less likely you are to contract SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. With that in mind, Bethel

Park School District is committed to maintaining social distancing to the greatest extent possible when students are in our schools. However, there may be instances where it is not

possible maintain the recommended six feet of distance, which is why face masks are required at nearly all times inside Bethel Park School District facilities, on our school

buses, and at bus stops. Also, students are encouraged to take advantage of our hand-sanitizing stations located inside each of our classrooms. They are also encouraged to

regularly wash their hands under warm soapy water for at least 20 seconds.

*The health & well-being of our students, staff, & community is our number one priority. Students that refuse to comply with the Bethel Park School District safety standards outlined

within this presentation will be immediately sent home.

COVID-19 Symptom Checklist

The following Covid-19 Symptom Checklist is to be utilized by all staff & families prior-to & during school hours. Any student or staff should stay home if demonstrating the following:

1 or more symptoms GROUP A Fever (100.4 or higher) Cough (persistent) Shortness of breath Difficulty Breathing

2 or more symptoms GROUP B Sore Throat Runny nose/congestion Chills Lack of smell or taste Muscle pain Nausea or Vomiting Headache Diarrhea

- Monday, October 5, 2020 - Students A-K will report to the high school for live instruction - Students L-Z & Remote Learning Students will report to live class online from home during the regular bell schedule.

- Tuesday, October 6, 2020 - Students L-Z will report to the high school for live instruction - Students A-K & Remote Learning Students will report to live class online from home during the regular bell schedule.

- When entering the building, students will enter through one of four entrances based on how they enter campus. - All Bus Riders will enter through the main entrance. - Students parking by the Turf Field or being dropped off at the YMCA will enter through the Music Wing Entrance. - Students parking by the stadium or being dropped off by the Gymnasium will enter through the Athletic Entrance. - Students being dropped off by Purkey Field may walk through the courtyard and enter through the cafeteria.

- Students are not permitted to enter the building until 7:15 am; the academic wing will open at approximately 7:20 am.

- Students who need breakfast may go to the cafeteria and eat at an individual desk.

- All other students should report directly to first period (Not Homeroom) by 7:25 am. - NOTE: We will not be going to Homeroom during the Hybrid Learning period. - When in 1st Period, please take a seat and complete your daily attendance on Schoology. - This time will also be used for daily announcements until 1st Period begins at 7:39 am.
