Hcg levels do not rise at the same rate as normal pregnancy. Ultrasound can confirm the ectopic pregnancy. Surgical intervention is required with IV fluids and blood transfusions as needed. Usually the tube is removed although in some instances the pregnancy is removed and the tube is repaired. ................
