Narrator: Good morning boys & girls

Narrator: Good morning boys & girls! I’m so glad you are here this morning. Is everyone ready to go back to school this week? I know some of you have already started school and some of you will start this week. I know you will have a good time and learn a lot at school.

This month in Sunday School we’ve been learning about some of our favorite Bible verses. Does anyone remember the verse John 3:16? It’s about God giving us his son, Jesus. The verse is “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son.”

Another verse is called the Golden Rule. Who remembers the Golden Rule? “Treat others as you want them to treat you.” (Matthew 7:12) That means we are kind to everyone, like we would like for them to be kind to us.

Last week we had a different verse. Does anyone remember it? It is “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13. Who is the “him” in the verse? That’s right, Jesus.

This week we are learning about the same verse: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” We know that God can give us strength to do anything, because God is the most powerful thing there is!

Whiskers: Is he more powerful than Superman? You know, Superman is faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than a train and can jump over tall buildings.

Narrator: Yes, Whiskers. He’s stronger than Superman.

Whiskers: What about the Incredible Hulk? He’s really strong too.

Narrator: Yep! Even stronger than the Incredible Hulk.

Whiskers: what about Spider Man? Bat Man?

Narrator: yes, Whiskers. God is stronger than all superheroes put together.

Whiskers: wow! That’s really strong

Narrator: Yes it is. I hope you will always remember that God can help you do anything. You just need to pray to him and study the Bible as you grow up.

Whiskers: I’m going to go read my Bible right now!

Narrartor: Bye Whiskers! Let’s remember our Bible verse for today: I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

My God is so big, so strong and so mighty there’s nothing my God cannot do.
