Project List

1) Create two songs or raps (at least three to four versus each) to help teach others the planets in their correct order, the way seasons work or another astronomy topic from the list above. Each song needs to include at least six to twelve vocab words from Chapters 11-12.

2) Write a book of poems about the planets or a topic above. You must NOT use the planet’s name in the poems or titles. Make your readers guess which planets/topics you are talking about.

3) Write a brief (2 page) research paper on any career in the field of Astronomy. Attach a one page fake interview in which interview someone who works in this field (find information on them online).

4) Make a mobile of our Solar System. Must include ALL of the planets (too scale) and must be labeled.

5) Create an astronomy board game that can be played by 4 people covering one of the topics above.

6) Create and design an illustrated planet information (Resource) book that would teach younger kids about one of the topics above.

7) Make a scientific poster covering your research of one of the topics listed above. Be sure to include 4-5 images, a graph, and written summaries of your research findings.
