Lewis and Clark Among the Nez Perce - National Park Service
In 1986, Congress established the Nez Perce (Nee-Me-Poo) National Historic Trail to commemorate the 1877 War. The trail begins at Wallowa Lake in Oregon and extends 1,170 miles to the Bear Paw Battlefield in Montana.
