5619115-14799600Cricket or Games ActivitiesSo you want to learn to juggle…...?Juggling is a cool skill to master and is really impressive when you eventually get the hang of it! It also improves your hand-eye coordination which helps in a wide range of sports, as well as your academic studies. What’s not to like? Here are a few suggestions to help you.If you have juggling balls, that’s great! If not, don’t worry. You could use bean bags or even make your own, for example by using play-doh or plasticine covered in tin foil or similar. You could use solid balls of tin foil, tennis balls or anything of a similar size. (Satsumas or oranges/apples also work but when you drop them they make a bit of a mess and your parents won’t be happy!)You should be able to hold 2 balls in 1 hand so don’t make them too big.Practise-practise-practise! Keep going. You’ll find it difficult to start with but persevere and keep going. Coordination is vital and practice makes permanent. You will succeed but it will take a bit of time. You’ll need plenty of space so don’t do it in the front room and knock over your parents’ favourite ornament or vase! Here’s a link, with lovely stick figures to help of you may prefer this video, although I like the stick figure one best , every time you drop a ball, bend your legs and squat to pick it up and don’t bend your back. In this way you are mixing in a workout for your legs. Just imagine dropping the ball 50 times a session and doing 50 squats to pick it up! You’ll have super strong leg muscles which will be a great benefit in all the other sports that you play.7352074885400We can show off our juggling skills when we come back to school. Have fun learning! ................
