Studies risk, risk management, rating, and contract elements. Course material includes the major lines of insurance covering both personal and commercial insurance.Course objectives: In this course you will have the opportunity to learn about:Basic risk management concepts Insurance conceptsRelationship of material to the students’ lives as business personsRelationship of material to the students’ lives as consumersCourse prerequisites: Basic algebra and light accounting.An interest in investment decisions. Course Methodology: Each class, you will be expected to: 1 Review learning objectives. 2 Complete all assigned readings and review all lecture materials. 3 Complete and submit any daily assignments by the due dates.
