SUBMISSION FORM: (COUNTRY) FINANCE LAW FIRM OF THE …

ASIA TAX AWARDS 2019

US Corporate Tax Firm of the Year

These awards are given to the firm with the most outstanding examples of US tax advice on Asia-orginated cross-border work. The firm must have at least one tax lawyer or adviser based full-time in Asia

Please complete all fields fully. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Firms must complete this front page and then fill out the rest of the form with up to three examples of public work they are putting forward to justify their nomination. Please keep to three. Somebody has to read all of the submissions!

Work must be cross-border and must have been completed before December 31 2018.

The awards are judged according to:

• Size (Not conclusive, though it does indicate what a tax team is capable of taking on)

• Innovation (Did the advice the firm gave show something more than the straightforward answer that is commonly used?)

• Complexity (Did the matter address tax issues that were out of the ordinary and what ingenuity did the firm show to solve them?)

• Impact (What impact did the advice have on the taxpayer? For example, did it help them take over their biggest rival? Issue equity and debt in a particular market for the first time? Win an unprecedented judgement in court?

Disputes may have commenced before January 1 2018, but must have concluded before December 31 2018. Proceedings must have been instituted in the first instance in the country concerned for a firm to qualify for consideration for that national award.

The deadline for submissions is December 14 2018. They should be sent by email to Anjana Haines, Managing Editor, International Tax Review (anjana.haines@; +44 (0) 20 7779 8047).

Please write ‘(Confidential)’ in red next to any information that you wish to flag up as not for publication.
