AMENDMENT PROJECT

AMENDMENT PROJECT Assigned: Wednesday January 9th, 2014

This project is designed to help all students get a better understanding of the 27 Amendments to the United States Constitution.

1. You will be assigned an Amendment…it will be a drawing!

2. You will PASTE the Amendment on the top of your poster board.

Example:

1st Amendment: Religious and Political Freedom (1791)

You will then HANDWRITE what right(s) are protected by the Amendment on the back of your poster board:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peacefully to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

***Please note that even if you are given only part of an Amendment to illustrate, you are still required to completely write out the Amendment.

3. You will then illustrate (draw) the Amendment, or part, of the Amendment.
