WEIGHTINGS BETWEEN YEARS FOR CLASSIFYING THE DEGREE
The weighting between the 2nd and final year in 3-year degree courses is 25%:75%. Courses involving a one-year placement are weighted as follows between the 2nd year, the placement year and the final year: 20%:5%:75%.
REASSESSMENT
The published pass mark for the course (ie 40%) is the maximum mark obtainable for any course in which a student has undertaken reassessment or a resit examination. The Board of Examiners has the discretion to remove the capping where it judges necessary in light of extenuating circumstances.
