Grading

[pic]

• There are 13 projects, and together these are worth 30% of your final grade

• Unless otherwise discussed in class, quizzes are every Friday and are worth 25% of your final grade

• There are four tests, each worth 5% of your final grade

• Since Biology has an EOC (End of Course exam), your score on that will be worth 25% of your final grade

• Late work for any reason will receive a maximum of 50% of the original grade.

• You may remediate your tests during Thursday tutoring (3:00 – 4:00 pm)

• There are three extra credit opportunities. Go to and click “Extra Credit” for details.

Expectations

• Since this is an Honors class, you are expected to complete homework regularly, thoroughly prepare for tests, and come to class engaged and ready to challenge yourself.

• My expectation is for you to score a “4” on the EOC.

• Use your in-class folder to store quizzes, tests, projects and other work

• Come to class with a writing utensil, and paper - no other required materials

• Stay seated unless you’re allowed otherwise, or ask for permission

• If you’re late, you will be swept!

• Biology class time is for Biology – stay, unless there’s an emergency
