Minecraft server generator settings biomes o plenty

I just started up a server with Gregtech + Unleashed. One of the mods active are Biomes O Plenty. Looking here, there seems to be allot of new biomes. But now when me and my friend played for a week on the server, none of us have seen any new biomes? The mod we have installed is version: 0,5,9,2 on minecraft 1.5.2 The mod seems to be active and i have also tried to look in singel player, but can not find anything that seems new. Have we missed something that needs to be done to activate the mod? In the mod foler, the mod is not named with any "disabled" tag. When you set up the generator settings on the server you have to change generation from "DEFAULT" to "BIOMESOPLENTY" . I think. I had a similar problem with my private server. is it possible to activate after or somehow transfeer a set of chunks to a new generated map? server.properties set the generator settings to "BIOMESOP" And make sure in the mods folder biomes o plenty is NOT BoP.jar.disabled. And finally go into the config and enable generation. Then restart the server. To active it server side, you need to look in the BoP configuration file. is it possible to activate after or somehow transfeer a set of chunks to a new generated map? Once it has been successfully enabled, it will only affect newly generated chunks. So go explore (or teleport) outside the bounds of the chunks that you've already explored. Note that you are likely to see chunk borders - huge walls where old chunks meet up with new chunks. If you want it to carry over to some existing chunks, you can force a chunk reset in those chunks. There's some plugins that let you do that (I think McWorldEdit has that ability), or you can delete region files to force the entire region to reset. What my friend did was create a BoP world in his single player, and replaced the server world files with the singe-player world files. I'm not sure if he did anything else though. All new chunks will not be BoP biomes, nothing new will generate. You HAVE to so this in order for Bop to make things 1 enable BoP.jar 2 change the world generator setting in the server.properties to BIOMESOP 3 enable generation in the bop configuration file That is the only way to get it to generate new biomes from BoP. Sure the world he put in May have biomes if it is enabled but new biomes won't generate unless you have done those 3 steps. Look in the Biomes O' Plenty configuration file. In server properties set leveltype=BIOMESOP go to mods map in your server folder, find "Biomes-O-Plenty-0.5.9.3-1.5.2.jar" or whatever version you have and delete the ".disabled" extension open main.cfg in config (server/config/biomesoplenty) - with wordpad or notepad - locate B:"Add Biomes To Default World"= and set it to true Then delete anything you might have in the "world" folder and start the server. This worked for me. Deleting the world isn't needed. This worked for me. If you don't delete the world, BOP biomes will only generate in newly generated chunks. I've experienced weird map glitches with that, so i've just deleted the whole world file and started a new server. I only had chunk generation bugs at the border of new/old chunks. and with the way my server is setup players go past it. only 2 of 6k of noticed so far How do you do this in single player? Or if its the same where do I find these files? */Minecraft/config/Biomesoplenty and enable biome generation just like in servers. Also this is probably better for just normal tech support not server tech support Reactions: RedBoss server.properties set the generator settings to "BIOMESOP" And make sure in the mods folder biomes o plenty is NOT BoP.jar.disabled. And finally go into the config and enable generation. Then restart the server. I have been having the same problem as the guy who started this post, but I can't find the config file in the Server. I'm not on FTB, but I was having the same problem, and found this post. server.properties set the generator settings to "BIOMESOP" And make sure in the mods folder biomes o plenty is NOT BoP.jar.disabled. I'm not on FTB, but I was having the same problem, and found this post. it's the file called server in the main folder area Page 2 \config\biomesoplenty\bioegen.cfg ???? Can someone post a default terraingen.cfg file with the setting "B:"Add Biomes To Default World"=true" already added to it. Please, my host does not have this enabled and I don't know how to add it. I believe this is the reason no new biomes are generating. I alread set level-type to BIOMESOP and disabled the .dis. Please help First of all, let me establish a few things, as I've googled about this and they were mentioned: -There are two different .cfg files that this mod has, gameplay.cfg and misc.cfg, both of which don't allow a relevant option. Main.cfg or Terraingen.cfg are nonexistent files and must just be figments of your imagination. -In server properties file, setting world gen to BIOMESOP or BIOMESOPLENTY does nothing. -Forge is installed and works fine, as all other mods function how they should EDIT: This is in Minecraft 1.12.2 EDIT 2: Some more information: -Biomes O' Plenty doesn't have .disabled on it in the mods folder -Forge version is 14.23.5.2847, which is the latest one that I could download. I would've used 'recommended' but apparently some of my mods need a more recent version than that. -Biomes O' Plenty is labelled as version 7.0.1.2441, which, like forge, is the latest version I could get. -I did start a fresh new world when trying to get this to work -Whenever I attempt to copy over a freshly made world from single player into multiplayer with the exact same mods and everything it inexplicably corrupts the world save (judging from research as to why it crashes). If it's generated freshly from the server without importing it does not do this -Generation in other mods works perfectly, whether that be biomes, buildings, oregen, etc. -There is only one or two biomes added by my mods, so Biomes O' Plenty biomes should in no way be hard to find EDIT 3: FIXED! To my embarrassment, it was just a simple typo. No pack, I set it up myself. Everything else works just fine so far, it's just that Biomes O' Plenty biomes don't show up. Generation from other mods does indeed appear, whether that be the Magical Forest from Thaumcraft, Oil spouts from Buildcraft, or various different ores and buildings. Did you try with a fresh world? Did you try only with forge and Biomes o plenty and no other mod, just to see how that works out? And it should be BIOMESOP in server.properties As this isn't a FTB pack and the help you're looking for is with 1 mod - you should contact that mod dev for support: I'll bet you can find info here: A tip: When you ask for help, give more information about version of the mod, what MC version and what forge version - etc. - makes it easier to help you out. Those are some good points, I'm going to update the original comment with some of that. I did start a fresh world, and I COULD try with just Biomes O' Plenty and forge, however that'd be a massive pain to deal with, as I'd need to temporarily remove a lot of mods and then re-add them. I apparently have a total of 61 mods on the server. As I wrote in an new edit on the original mention, I fixed it. Just a little typo, thanks anyway As I wrote in an new edit on the original mention, I fixed it. Just a little typo, thanks anyway Super - always nice to solve stuff and be able to move past that and do the fun things - playing Have fun! Hi. I have successfully configured my server with Forge version 1.12.2-14.23.5.2838, and everything appears to be working with the 80 mods I have uploaded, except that the World generation appears to be completely Vanilla. I have tried editing the server.properties file to set level-type to "BIOMESOP", but I am not getting Biomes O Plenty biomes when I generate a new world. I also cannot see any Tinkers Construct slime islands, and I don't believe the ore generation includes Thermal Foundation ores, Chisel marble, or any other modded content. I also tried creating a new world using the Nitrado "World Manager" tool, but this does not seem to fix the problem. I noticed in the Nitrado "File Browser" that several mods appear to be "greyed out". These include the mods for which World Generation does not appear to be working. I have attached an image showing that. The craftable items for these mods do exist in JEI, it's just the world generation which appears to be borked. Would appreciate any help! I tested this custom modpack on single player and it was working fine. mc.png hi hmmm .. weird usually stop the server edit the server.properties (level-type = BIOMESOP) delete the old world and start the server test... try to create a world in the singleplayer and load them on the serverbut stop the server before MfG Conan Minecraft: Conan Discord: Conan#3864 Ich bin nicht die Signatur, Ich putz hier nur! Hi Conan, thanks for the advice. I did try this (uploading a single player world), and the Grove biome was present at spawn, but of course new chunks are generating vanilla biomes so it's not really a solution. I have attached my server.properties as a ".txt" file to this post, so you can see that I have correctly edited the level-type. EDIT: additional info: in my single-player generated world, thermal foundation ores are not present on the server, and cannot be placed in the world from my inventory, even though I can cheat them into my inventory with JEI. Weird, as you said can you give me the pack? I would like to see it with my own eyes xD or do you give me access to your nitrado server? then i could make a copy ... for tests ... hmm ... MfG Conan Minecraft: Conan Discord: Conan#3864 Ich bin nicht die Signatur, Ich putz hier nur! OK! I tested it with your mods. on the first start, the server has created a vanilla world. then I stopped the server and set the level-type = BIOMESOP. then I restarted the server and he created a BOP world. that was on my server (not nitrado) MfG Conan Minecraft: Conan Discord: Conan#3864 Ich bin nicht die Signatur, Ich putz hier nur! Thanks for the update Conan. I still have no idea why it doesn't work on Nitrado though. Forge is clearly working, and the level-type is correct. ok ok Now I tested it with the same mods on nitrado .... and it works... here is my server 31.214.130.58:25565 Here is a backup from my nitrado server: Backup if you use it you have to change the ip in the server.properties MfG Conan Minecraft: Conan Discord: Conan#3864 Ich bin nicht die Signatur, Ich putz hier nur! Yeah when I used your backup it works fine. Now I just have to work out what I did wrong! Many thanks. 24,328 ARTICLESON THIS WIKI Biomes O' Plenty is a mod which introduces 80 new biomes and 12 sub-biomes to the game, many of which have new blocks, mobs and biome-specific plants compared to vanilla world. Click Expand to show the list of Promised Land Biomes: ID Biome Description Gem Image 64 Blessed Bog Many oak trees covered with Ivy can be found in this area along with Blue Milk Caps, Toadstools and Tulips. Pools of Spring Water are abundant. Amethyst 63 Majestic Meadow Fields of Purified Tall Grass and small Loftwood bushes fill the Majestic Meadow. Loftwood and 2x2 oak trees fill the sky while large bushes cover the undergrowth. Magic Wood, Blue Milk Caps and tulips can be found here as well. This is the only place you can find Chromaflora, a strobing, rainbow flower. Amethyst Promised Land[edit] Main Article: Promised Land The Promised Land was a dimension added by some versions of Biomes O' Plenty (and removed for Minecraft 1.7 onwards). It was made to represent the skylands teased by Mojang before The End was released. The Promised Land was a collection of floating islands made from Skystone and Purified Grass. It is the only place that Loftwood Trees and Chromaflora will grow naturally. In addition, it was the only place that the player can find Celestial Crystals and Amethyst. A big appeal of the Promised Land was the eternal day and no mob spawning* of any kind. Accessing the Promised Land requires use of an Ancient Staff, needing the 6 gems added by Biomes O' Plenty, End Stone and a Nether Star, meaning the player will have to both defeat the Wither and venture into The End before the Promised Land can be reached. Using the staff will turn it into a Depleted Ancient Staff and create a portal to the Promised Land directly overhead. A portal to the Promised Land can only be created in the overworld. Using the staff in another dimension will have no effect. The Depleted Ancient Staff can be recombined with a new Nether Star to create a new Ancient Staff. Other mods may cause hostile or passive mob spawning in the Promised Land, spawning issues were one of the causes leading to removal of the area from the mod. Gems[edit] Biomes O' Plenty adds 6 new gems to the game along with their corresponding ores. The gems added include Ruby, Peridot, Topaz, Tanzanite, Apatite, and Sapphire. All of the gems have entries in the ore dictionary except for Apatite (for balancing purposes with Forestry's Apatite). Their rarity is the same as that of the vanilla Emerald and can be found spawning between y=4 and y=32. Like the Emerald, all the gems added by Biomes O' Plenty can be found only in biomes of a specific type, listed below. They can also be found as loot in temples and dungeons. The Fortune enchant works on all of the ores, giving the player between 1 and 16 gems with Fortune III. The gems have two uses beyond decoration. They are required to craft the Ancient Staff to access the Promised Land and they are used in the Sacrificial Altar to summon an Ender Dragon. All 6 gems must be found to create either of these things. There is also a 7th gem, Amethyst, which can only be found in the Promised Land. It can be used to craft tools and armor at a tier higher than Diamond. It can also be used to craft an Amethyst Bucket that can pick up Spring Water. Gem Locations[edit] Biomes O'Plenty has specific locations for gems when using the default config. The gems are all found in biomes of a specific type: Emerald : found in Forest/Mountain-type biomes Ruby : found in Desert-type biomes Peridot : found in Grassland-type biomes Topaz : found in Jungle/Tropical-type biomes Tanzanite : found in Snow-type biomes Malachite : found in Swamp-type biomes Amber : new gem added in 1.7.2 ; found in River and Grove biomes, other locations unknown yet The following is a list of specific biomes in which gems can be found. The following are added by the mod: Blocks[edit] Trees[edit] Flowers[edit] Most flowers can be made into dye of their respective colors. Mushrooms[edit] Blue Milk Cap Glowshroom Portobello Toadstool Other Plants and Structures[edit] Equipment[edit] Along with the terrain changes, Biomes O' Plenty adds some useful tools and items. Most of these are crafted using the features Biomes O' Plenty adds to the terrain. Armor[edit] Mud Armor An armor tier before leather that provides only 2 armour icons with a full set. Has less than half the durability of leather. Amethyst Armor An armor tier beyond Diamond with about 100 extra durability and far superior damage resistance. Wearing a full suit will let the player take a creeper explosion at full force without receiving damage. Flower Band Crafted with flowers and, when worn, entice passive animals to follow the player. [edit] Mud Tools Very basic tools that have only 32 points of durability. All vanilla tools can be made with Mud. Amethyst Tools 2013 durability points. A tier above diamond tools All vanilla tools can be made with Amethyst, but require iron ingots instead of sticks. Dart Blower Can use darts and poison darts as projectile weapons similar to a bow. Scythe A tool resembling the Sickle from RedPower 2. It is used as a faster alternative to clearing tall grass, crops and leaves. Can be made with Mud, Wood, Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, or Amethyst. A higher tier has more durability, works faster and clears more space at a time. Other[edit] Food[edit] Sacrificial Altar[edit] Main Article: Sacrificial Altar The Sacrificial Altar is a multiblock structure that is used to summon an Ender Dragon. It requires a villager sacrifice on the altar to start. More than one Ender Dragon can be summoned at once, but will require additional sacrificial altars, as the summon causes an explosion that destroys the altar. The dragon can be spawned in any dimension, but may have unexpected effects if spawned outside of The End. Keep in mind the dragon will destroy any block it flies through that isn't Obsidian or Bedrock so spawning it near something important is not a good idea. The altar requires 4 Altar Frames, one Sacrificial Focus, a Soul Manipulator, and 4 of each of the 6 gems. It will also require 3 Wither Skulls for the Ghastly Souls to be used in the focus and the soul manipulator. The Sacrificial Focus requires Celestial Crystals which means the player will have to venture into the Promised Land before the Sacrificial Altar can be built. After it is constructed, hitting the Sacrificial Focus once with a Ghastly Soul Manipulator will cause a lightning strike and ready the altar for the sacrifice. At this point a villager must be placed on the Sacrificial Focus and hit with the Ghastly Soul Manipulator. The villager will be killed and a second lightning strike will hit the altar. Hitting the Focus a third time with the Ghastly Soul Manipulator will cause a large explosion and the Ender Dragon will spawn somewhere nearby. Modpack notes[edit] In FTB Unleashed and Direwolf20 1.5 Pack, Biomes O' Plenty is disabled by default. In order to use it, it must be enabled in the launcher. In addition, in the Direwolf20 1.6 Pack, many of the Biomes O' Plenty biomes are disabled by default, and must be enabled in the configuration file.
