| |Whoa! The month of February is here and the Black History Month committee has selected you to be on their fashion show committee. They want your expertise in choosing the |

| |hottest and trendiest traditional African clothing for a fashion show they are planning. Here is your chance to be Mr. /Ms. Fashion detective. The success of this fashion |

| |show depends solely on your research and fashion sense. |

| |The Task: |

| |The Black History Month committee wants to put on a fashion show displaying African clothing. They have a strict budget of $800.00 to put towards buying clothing. You will|

| |need to purchase two of each of the following clothing types: Women, Men, boys and girls. Don’t forget you must stay within the designated budget of $800.00. You will have|

| |to design a brochure on Microsoft Word explaining what type of clothing you chose and the price of each. The total price of all clothing items must be included in the |

| |brochure. In the introduction of your brochure, you must include at least three paragraphs explaining the history of the clothing styles of Africa. |

| |The Process: |

| |Follow these steps in order to find the trendiest African attire for the fashion show: |

| |A. First you will need to pair up into groups of two. |

| |B. You will then need to assign one person in your group to do women and men apparel and the other person to do the boys and girls apparel. |

| |C. Each of you need to turn in your own copy of the brochure which includes all the information for two items of clothing for women, men, boys and girls. |

| |D. Your groups brochure must have the following items included: |

| |1. Three paragraphs explanation on the history of clothing styles in Africa. |

| |2. 2 pictures of women, men, boys and girls apparel. |

| |3. Prices of each clothing item must be listed. |

| |4. A total price of all the clothing items must be listed in order to determine if you stayed within |

| |your specified budget of $800.00. |
