I've chosen this assignment because it is the very first obstacle of which any graduated professional seeking a career will have to overcome.Due to the large number of applicants that compete for positions in prestigious establishments, having an effective cover letter and curriculum vitae is of utmost importance. Furthermore, the fact that this course teaches the fundamentals of doing such a task shows its importance in presenting a compelling package to the prospective employer. I personally found this assignment enlighten least.Assignment 2: Business proposal. This choice was based more on personal preference.I liked the fact that we were encouraged to find areas in PMU which can be enhanced and were asked to create a business based on the need. Also, the objective of this assignment coincides with my own, becoming an independent and passionate business owner. I applaud the course for offering such an assignment that can raise the business acuity of students and broaden their horizons. Thus, it was a natural pick for me. How have you organized your portfolio and why is it in this order?I opted to choose the professional choice first; cover letter and CV. Because of its importance in the job market and finding a suitable and well-paying career. The second has more personal value to myself and was very enjoyable to conduct and present. Which piece in your portfolio are you most proud of? Why?I feel inclined more towards the business proposal. Because it offered us a chance to hone our entrepreneurial skills and business acuity. It also gave us a chance to think out of the box yet in a setting we were familiar with – locating a business opportunity in out university. Of all the items included, which one was the hardest for you?The business proposal was the most challenging; because we had to create a profitable and sustainable business model. It took us a while to get the specifics right and generate all the relevant aspects to our vision. What goals did you set for yourself at the beginning of this course? How well did you accomplish them?I had set the goal of understanding the course material to the farthest extent possible. The closest stores are quite a drive away and considering PMU’s location, it is highly unfavorable to leave campus for such an errand. Furthermore, we could supply office necessities the university would usually contract specialized suppliers for, a process that can be internalized with such an installment on campus.
